I thought this was a very emotional story, I was so caught up in everything and really enjoyed it even though it was heartbreaking at times. Great story line, likable characters, and an incredible ending.

I thought the first half dragged quite a bit but the second half totally made up for it. In the beginning, I thought Kiera was really naive and didn't like her much but by the end I really liked her, totally felt for her, and really saw how much she had grown. I thought she was a very well written character. Slow start or not, I couldn't put the book down because I was anxious to know where the story went next. Denny seemed like a decent guy if not a little naive himself. I absolutely I loved Kellan’s character, he was incredibly well written - so sexy and intriguing. Watching Kellan grow and come to know himself was pretty amazing.

I was completely caught up in everything and so emotionally invested. The passion, the anguish, the push and pull, it made me a little anxiety ridden. All of the flirting, longing, and heartbreak was rather intense. This is not a typical love story but it pulled at my heart and made me catch my breath, even cry a little. I felt all the characters had real depth. I would like to have known more about the other band members but since this is the first in a series, hopefully there will be more about them in the other books.

I thought the ending was incredible, very real. The pain of moving forward, accepting, and connecting. I was mesmerized by the end and happy it came to the conclusion that it did. I am very much looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
