The first in USA TODAY bestselling author Alice Clayton’s Redhead series is a playful and erotic romance between an aspiring actress and Hollywood’s hottest new leading man.

When Grace Sheridan returns to Los Angeles to become a working actress, it’s a second shot at a life-long dream. With some help from her best-friend agent, will that dream become a reality—or at thirty-three, has Grace missed her chance at the big time? And when an unexpected sizzling romance with Jack Hamilton, the entertainment industry's newest “it” boy, threatens to shine an uncomfortable spotlight on her life, how will that affect her career…and his?

Funny, borderline neurotic Grace is perfect in her imperfections, and the sexual chemistry between her and charming yet blissfully unaware Jack is off the charts. With laugh-out-loud dialogue and a super-steamy romance that will get your heart racing, sneaking around in L.A. and dodging the paparazzi has never been so fun.

4 out of 5 stars

This book was so freaking funny right from the start! I can’t remember the last time I laughed so much in a book. I LOVED Grace! A book that references Haim and Feldman and talks about sparkly boobies? I was all in from the beginning.

Grace was strong, playful, and had a great attitude and personality. And Jack? Oh my! Hello British hotness! So sweet and sexy. Jack seemed to have so many different layers and I just couldn’t get enough of him. Jack and Grace had the BEST BANTER EVER! There was an awesome chemistry and connection between the two and I thought the build was perfect. Loved their nick-names for one another as well (seriously amusing!).

I thought the other characters were great and played into the story nicely. I adored Grace’s friend Holly and the friendship they shared, it seemed so genuine. Nick cracked me up and his obsession with Jack was highly entertaining. I liked the introduction of Jack’s friends too and hope to see more of them in the next books.

There were lots of hot, sexy time scenes - scorching really (whew!). Alice Clayton tells a heck of a story. I thought it was a a bit light in the drama department. The few times I thought there was going to be something major it was resolved quickly. I didn’t mind though because this was just a laugh-out-loud-totally-leave-me-feeling-happy kind of book.

There were a few time I wished Grace would have opened up a bit more. I was left with a few questions but since this is book 1 in the series I'm hoping they will get addressed. I would say it is mildly cliffhanger-ish. I am definitely looking forward to book 2, The Redhead Revealed… I need more Jack and Gracie! ;-)

Fantastic laugh-out-loud story with awesome characters. Highly entertaining, hot, steamy read, and I totally recommend it.

ARC received in exchange for an honest review.
