Greyson King…

My boyfriend. My friend. My protector. He’s the reason I wake up every morning with a smile on my face, and the reason I fall asleep limp, worn out, and aching for his warm arms around me. When we make love, he says my name like it means something. Like I mean something.

He
Lied.

His name is Greyson King, but his alias is Zero.

There’s zero trace of him, he has zero past, and now I know that with him, I will have zero future.

He may leave no trace of him anywhere, but his imprint is in me, in my very soul—and I hate that a mere look at him commands the beat of my heart. The temperature of my body.

I’ve looked for love my entire life. I’ve waited for the butterflies, the rainbows…

Instead I’m in a free fall of emotions and there’s no one to catch me but the one man I should be running away from. The one man I thought was my prince charming.

Except this prince charming went rogue.

Greyson will stop at nothing to make me be with him. He'll let no one stand in our way, will allow no one to threaten me, and maybe this is what scares me most of all...

What will my rogue do to keep me?

3 out of 5 stars

I liked this story a lot. Greyson is an intense guy! He and Melanie have that instant chemistry and connection that makes a book super hot and intriguing.

I really liked that this story was told from dual POV's so we got to learn the in’s and out’s of Melanie and Greyson and understand why they did what they did. I really liked them, got mad and frustrated with them, and rooted for them. There was major hotness (some a bit over the top), lots of intensity, and a good amount of drama.

Greyson was just so intense (pretty much the theme throughout) and protective. Melanie, that girl... I felt bad for her, looking for love in all the wrong ways. They were both crazy drawn to each other. I liked it when they both finally started opening up to one another. It’s a bit sad and there is definitely a heart breaking moment.

This story had a lot going on and was very fast paced, some parts felt rushed to me so I wondered if I had missed something. I had tons of questions while reading and occasionally found myself thinking “what the heck?!” Everything did get explained and all my questions where answered but how some of it was laid out confused me initially. That being said, I enjoyed the overall story, I kept wanting to know what was going to happen next.

Melanie’s friend Pandora was in this story a lot and I was not a fan. I know she was trying to look out for her friend but I found her very off putting. It's touched upon as to why so I'm anxious for her story in RIPPED and to really get to know her.

I really enjoyed Greyson meetings Melanie's parents, that was a fun scene to read. There was a bit of interaction with Remy, Brooke and Riley, it was nice but felt to brief in my opinion. I thought this story had a great ending, the last 25% sold it for me. I was so happy for Melanie and Greyson’s outcome.

I try hard not to compare books but this book felt totally different from other books by the author. I liked it but sometimes fast paced turned into rushed. Be prepared for an intense ride with lots of hotness and a heck of a bad boy that will make your heart melt!
