Roman Crazy
Roman Crazy (Broads Abroad #1)
by Alice Clayton and Nina Bocci

Release Date: September 13, 2016

synopsis_thumb2_thumb1
Avery Bardot steps off the plane in Rome, looking for a fresh start. She’s left behind a soon-to-be ex-husband in Boston and plans to spend the summer with her best friend Daisy—away from home and licking her wounds…and perhaps a gelato or two. But when Daisy, an American expat now living in Rome, throws her a welcome party on her first night, Avery’s thrown for a loop. She falls, quite literally, at the feet of a man she never thought she’d see again: Italian architect Marcello Bianchi.

Marcello is a man from her past—the man, the one who got away. And now her past is colliding with her present, a present where she should be mourning the loss of her marriage and the life she once had and—hey, that fettuccine is delicious.

And so is Marcello…

Avery slips easily into the good life that is summertime in Rome. She spends her days exploring a city that would make art historians swoon, and her nights swooning over a whirlwind what was old is new again romance. It’s heady, it’s fevered, it’s wanton, and it’s crazy. But could it really be her life? Or is it just a temporary reprieve before returning to the land of twinset cardigans and crustless sandwiches?

10-things-you-didnt-know
… About ROMAN CRAZY …with Alice Clayton and Nina Bocci

1. It's the first book we've written together - though we've talked about writing one together for ages
2. Ninety-eight percent of it is set in Italy - all over, not just Rome
3. We don't have any one man that is Marcello. He's sort of a combo of a few (Simone Bredariol is one of them, Henry Cavill is another) but if we had to pick someone for Avery, Elizabeth Olsen is a good fit
4. It's hopefully the first of a series
5. It would make a great movie. Like, a really great one :p
6. When I didn't know how to say something in Italian I'd leave a note for Nina to find like usually went something like "HOW DO YOU SAY FUCK" OR "ANGRY ITALIAN WORDS"
7. That virtually everything I know about Rome I learned by watching Rick Steves
8. We're planning a trip to Rome next summer!
9. Marcello's family is in part based on Nina's parents
10. Nina wrote all the sex scenes ;)

Nina Bocci
… About Nina Bocci …
1. If I could, I'd live in a bookstore
2. I collect skeleton keys
3. I'm terrified of turkeys
4. I love, love, love building Lego
5. I have 4 tattoos
6. Elephants are my favorite animal (after my dog, of course)
7. I am TERRIBLE at math. 2 + X = apple
8. My favorite ride at WDW is Tower of Terror (front row, aisle seat)
9. I read at least 4 books a week (and I prefer paper to electronic)
10. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do

AliceClayton
… Alice Clayton …
1. If I could I'd live in Amsterdam
2. I collect Disney coffee mugs
3. I'm terrified of…wait, why the hell am I saying it out loud? People would send me pics on purpose
4. I love, love, love singing the shit out of show tunes
5. I have 0 tattoos and that's the way it's staying Nina…
6. Lions are my favorite animal
7. I am not as terrible at math as Nina, but not great
8. My favorite ride at WDW is Rockin' Roller Coaster
9. I read between 3-4 books a week and I prefer to read on my iPad
10. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do

about-the-authors
NINA BOCCI is a novelist, publicist, eternal optimist, unabashed lipgloss enthusiast, constant apologist, and a hopeless romanticist. She has too many college degrees that she’s not using, and a Lego addiction that she blames on her son.

ALICE CLAYTON worked in the cosmetics industry for over a decade before picking up a pen (read laptop).

She enjoys gardening but not weeding, baking but not cleaning up, and finally convinced her long-time boyfriend to marry her.

Now, about that Bernese Mountain dog.
