Life on his ranch could be their future. If they can overcome their past.

Felicity’s life story reads like the script to a bad soap opera. Girl’s high-school boyfriend becomes a drug addict. Girl falls for boyfriend’s best friend. Girl leaves them both behind only to return home years later for murdered ex-boyfriend’s funeral. Now she’s back home in Montana, ready to start fresh. She’s got a long list of amends to make and relationships to rebuild, including one with the man who has owned her heart for sixteen years.

Silas doesn’t need much. He’s got a great horse, close friends and the Lucky Heart ranch, but something has always been missing. He’s not an idiot. He knows the missing piece is Felicity. And now that she’s returned to Prescott, he’s got a second chance to win her heart. This time, the only thing standing in his way is history. Drudging up the past is going to be about as painful as playing tug of war with barbed wire. But if they can heal old wounds, he’ll get the girl he should have had all along.

5 out of 5 stars

Loved, loved, loved this! Such an amazing story filled with so much emotion. There were so many  wonderful characters and great moments. I couldn't read it fast enough!

I loved every single thing about Silas and Felicity. There was so much tension between the two and I loved learning the why of it all. They could be like fire and ice but when they start to open up and let their guard down it's pretty amazing. Silas and Felicity had a wonderful history that was both sweet and heartbreaking and it was incredible having them reconnect. There was just so much emotion involved and I felt one hundred percent invested the entire time. I loved Felicity trying to better herself and make amends. She was such a genuinely good person and I loved her feisty attitude. Silas was so strong, tough, and loving. I loved his patience and understanding. He had the sexy cowboy thing down for sure!

Not only was it their story, but there were all these exceptional smaller stories that were intertwined that made it feel full and engaging. There's a truly amazing cast of characters in this town from family and friends, and reading this and seeing everyone again was like coming home.

The Lucky Heart moves at a good pace keeping you on your toes and anxious to turn the page. The story had this great flow and I never felt like I had a good stopping place and never wanted to put my Kindle down. There's drama and tension, love and heat, forgiveness, healing and hope... and all the emotion! A truly excellent read!
