The ride of her life . . .
Once upon a time, Carissa Teodoro believed in happy endings. Money, marriage, motherhood: everything came easy---until she woke up to the ugly truth about her Prince Charming. Now a struggling, single mom and stranded by a flat tire, Carissa's pondering her mistakes when a vaguely familiar knight rides to her rescue on a ton of horsepower.

Climb on and hold tight . . .
In high school, Carson Steele was a bad boy loner who put Carissa on a pedestal where she stayed far beyond his reach. Today, he's the hard-bodied biker known only as Joker, and from the way Carissa's acting, it's clear she's falling fast. While catching her is irresistible, knowing what to do with her is a different story. A good girl like Carissa is the least likely fit with the Chaos Motorcycle Club. Too bad holding back is so damned hard. Now, as Joker's secrets are revealed and an outside threat endangers the club, Joker must decide whether to ride steady with Carissa---or ride away forever . . .

5 out of 5 stars

So amazing. Words cannot even begin to describe how much I loved these characters and their story. It was perfect! I couldn't put it down!

Carissa and Carson/Joker are such fantastic characters. They had so much depth to them and I loved how we learned their details and back stories. It was so full of emotion, it had me tearing up. These two coming together was so great. It had the perfect build and pace and I inhaled every detail. I loved their chemistry and them opening up. They were both so sweet and caring. I loved Carissa's determination and all she was willing to do for her son. Having Joker see what she’d do for her son, that was a revelation for him, and him getting to know her again and her son, I was just so freaking happy and loving it all. My notes are pretty much full of "I love..." And absolutely did. And just to say, Joker and Carissa together - nice and hot and passionate and oh yeah!

Not only was their story together fantastic but there's also the richness of the MC itself, the men and women and their relationships. I love how it all intertwines. So detailed. Jokers friends were wonderful too and I loved those moments where things started to click in his head. I was all kinds of weepy reading this because any time there is a special man bonding/special moment, I pretty much lose it. This was just full of so many wonderful things. Loved it so much! There were so many touching things happening throughout.

There was MC business happening that been developing over the course of the series and I love the new info that was learned. I thought there was a really good balance with it and how it played into the story as well.

There were bits of drama throughout. It seemed like more of an emotional story to me with inner turmoil. It was just so detailed and full and well thought out with great characters. I loved it all and I cannot begin to say enough wonderful things. Kristen Ashley is one of my all time favorite authors and she's a heck of story teller. Another excellent 5 star KA read for me.

  1. Great review! I have this one, but haven't tried it yet. It's been a long time since I've read a KA book. I read the first book of this series and enjoyed it. Motorcycle Man is still my favorite, though. I need to pick this one up!

    1. I love KA! I liked this one better than Own the Wind but it's neck in neck with Fire Inside. And Tack, he was awesome!!!
