Favorite Romance Books of 2024

It's officially time for me to share my Favorite Romance Books of 2024 list. It was a fantastic reading year for me, I laughed, cried, swooned, and fell in love with each and every one of these books. I felt them deeply, from the amazing characters to the drama and emotion, to the heat and humor. When I stop and think about them, I get that feeling of excitement all over again, they did it for me in a big way. I recommend each and every one!

All Rhodes Lead Here by Mariana Zapata
All Rhodes Lead Here was absolutely brilliant. 6 stars all the way! I was pulled in from the very first page and loved every moment as the story unfolded. It was full of heart, love, and so much emotion. There was an incredible build filled with so many captivating details, that I never wanted to put it down. I laughed and cried my way through and loved it all.

Mariana Zapata was on my Favorite Books list last year in 2023 for The Wall of Winnipeg and Me.


Avenging Angel (Avenging Angels #1) by Kristen Ashley
Avenging Angel was fresh, new, and exciting yet familiar and nostalgic. Three chapters in and I knew this was going to be one of my favorite books of the year. This story had all the Rock Chick goodness I've come to know and love but it is its own version that fits perfectly into the world. I was hooked immediately. I loved the new crew and found families, and was excited about everything I was reading. This was filled with so many fantastic moments, fun scenes, drama and intensity, and hotness. I loved it all! This book felt like coming home!

The Beloved (Black Dagger Brotherhood #22) by J. R. Ward

The Beloved was phenomenal! This was the story I needed it to be and I loved every second. The emotion, the healing, the drama, and the humor were exceptional. After the ending of Lassiter, this was the perfect follow-up. I loved the characters and the evolution of the world, and I’m thrilled about what’s been set up for future stories. This was a fantastic story in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series.

Broken Harbor (Sparrow Falls #3) by Catherine Cowles
I loved every single thing about Broken Harbor, I was hooked right from the start. I adored Sutton and Cope, and sweet Luca, and the beautiful story of them coming together. I loved the emotion, the suspense, and the drama. This is officially my favorite Catherine Cowles book that I've read so far!


Crossroads (Haven River Ranch #1) by Devney Perry
Crossroads was outstanding! It was a beautiful and emotional story with the most incredible build! I loved how everything unfolded, it was a love story that spanned over time and then culminated into an exceptional happily ever after. There were remarkable details that pulled me in and the storytelling was stellar. This book had me holding my breath and I loved it all.

Devney Perry has previously been on my Favorite Books list for The Coppersmith Farmhouse in 2017, The Clover Chapel in 2018, and Steel King (previously titled Gypsy King) in 2019. In 2020, she was on my list Riven Knight and The Bribe. In 2021, she was on my list twice for Tin Queen and The Bluff. In 2023, she was on my list for Coach.


The Dixon Rule (Campus Diaries #2) by Elle Kennedy
I can't express how much I loved The Dixon Rule. 6 stars! I loved the characters and the evolution of their relationship. I loved the banter and the dialogue. I loved the emotion and intensity. I loved the growth and healing. It was an incredibly entertaining story that made me laugh and swoon but it was so much more. I was invested in Diana and Shane’s lives, I felt for them and hung on every word. This story consumed me!


Fangirl Down (Big Shots #1) by Tessa Bailey
Fangirl Down was fantastic and everything I love about Tessa Bailey. There was never a time I wanted to put it down. This was so incredibly entertaining with the best banter and wit. Seriously, the verbal sparring was exceptional. I loved the build, the vulnerability, and the laugh-out-loud moments, and holy wow with the heat. It's safe to say this is a new favorite!

Tessa Bailey was on my Favorite Books list for It Happened One Summer in 2021 and Hook, Line, and Sinker in 2022.


From Here to Eternity (Moonlit Ridge #1) by A.L. Jackson
From Here to Eternity was an exceptional read and I loved every single second of it! Right from the start I felt consumed by the intensity playing out and was pulled in as I got to know Charleigh and River. I loved the storytelling, the development, and all the incredible details. I felt captivated the entire time!


How My Neighbor Stole Christmas by Meghan Quinn
How My Neighbor Stole Christmas was sexy, holiday entertainment that had me laughing out loud. This book made me so unbelievably happy and I couldn't get enough. From the bickering and verbal sparring to the stolen glances and candy canes, I loved every single thing about it.


If You Hate Me (Toronto Terror #1) by Helena Hunting
If You Hate Me was the best kind of dirty fun and I loved every second. Can a book catch fire because seriously, this baby was scorching! I loved getting to know Rix and Tristan and watching their hate banter turn into so much more. I loved the build, the sexual chemistry, and all the entertaining moments. I never wanted to put it down and read it way too fast because I couldn’t wait to find out what would happen next.

Favorite Romance Books of 2024 | About That Story
My book stack is missing Broken Harbor by Catherine Cowles. I want the Deluxe Edition with the foiling on the cover and stained edges so I'm holding out until February 11, 2025 when it releases.
