An old flame rekindled . . .

Zara Cinders always knew Ham Reece was the one, but he wasn't interested in settling down. When she found someone who was, Ham walked out of her life. Three years later, Zara's lost her business, her marriage, and she's barely getting by in a tiny apartment on the wrong side of the tracks. As soon as Ham hears about Zara's plight, he's on her doorstep offering her a lifeline. Now, it will take every ounce of will power she possesses to resist all that he offers.

Ham was always a traveling man, never one to settle down in one town, with one woman, for more time than absolutely necessary. But Ham's faced his own demons, and he's learned a lot. About himself, and about the life he knows he's meant to live. So when he hears that Zara's having a rough time, he wants to be the one to help. In fact, he wants to do more than that for Zara. A lot more. But first, he must prove to Zara that he's a changed man.

5 out of 5 stars

This was so wonderful. Truly. Amazing writing, a beautiful, detailed story with rich characters. It was full of emotion, drama, heart, and so much love!

Zara and Ham were really great characters. They had such an interesting dynamic to their relationship and I loved their history. There were so many ups and downs but they were so there for each other. Graham Reece (Ham) was so awesome, strong, sweet and protective and Zara, wow. I loved her. What she endured and how she stood on her own and got stronger every day, it was empowering. The two had this crazy intense relationship but it was so heartfelt and sometimes filled with heartbreak, it was awesome. I loved their story!

I really loved the character connections from this series and others. I seriously felt jealous because of another character… I was so caught up with everything. The secondary characters were well written and I thought they enhanced the overall storyline. The struggles of Zara's past felt so real and I felt for her but I love how she persevered. The storyline that is related to her past, as well as the people that were involved in it, were terrific and I love how it all played out and how Ham was there making her stronger during all of it.

I'm not sure what else I can say, this was an exceptionally well-written story with great characters and a fantastic build. Emotion, drama, intensity, and most of all love, this story has it all!
