The Score

The Score (Off-Campus #3) by Elle Kennedy

Allie Hayes is in crisis mode. With graduation looming, she still doesn’t have the first clue about what she's going to do after college. To make matters worse, she’s nursing a broken heart thanks to the end of her longtime relationship. Wild rebound sex is definitely not the solution to her problems, but gorgeous hockey star Dean Di-Laurentis is impossible to resist. Just once, though, because even if her future is uncertain, it sure as heck won’t include the king of one-night stands.

It’ll take more than flashy moves to win her over.

Dean always gets what he wants. Girls, grades, girls, recognition, girls…he’s a ladies man, all right, and he’s yet to meet a woman who’s immune to his charms. Until Allie. For one night, the feisty blonde rocked his entire world—and now she wants to be friends? Nope. It’s not over until he says it’s over. Dean is in full-on pursuit, but when life-rocking changes strike, he starts to wonder if maybe it’s time to stop focusing on scoring…and shoot for love.

5 out of 5 stars

This was so awesome. I think it's my favorite in the series so far. Dean and Allie were fantastic characters. I was hooked from the beginning!

I loved Dean and Allie so much. They had a nice amount of tension and angst. Great animosity and verbal sparring that turned into really hot chemistry. Loved the story and the progression. I thought there was a great pace and build throughout as well as excellent character development as they both grown and come together. There is a great amount of hot and dirty fun, loved those naughty interactions. There is some humor involved, a bit of drama and emotion but oh man, emotional explosion at the end! That last 25% just about killed me. I did not see that coming at all! It was rather gut wrenching but it made for an excellent story arc as the characters developed. I thought it really kept the story fresh.

I loved all the roommates and their girlfriends and how everyone interacted. I had a lot of questions about Tuck throughout and then bam! the very end brought it all home. Oh man. Shoot me now. Seriously! I was laughing and saying OMG at the same time – I couldn’t believe it. I normally am not a fan of cliffhangers but this one was awesome! I predict Tucker's story is going to be pretty epic! (It’s a cliffhanger that leads you into the next story, Dean and Allie get full closure in this one).

Elle Kennedy rocks at dual POV! Totally solid read. There was just really great progression throughout that had me turning the page as quick as I could. Great characters that I fell in love with the more the story went on. Another great read in the Off-campus series. I highly recommend it!
