synopsis_thumb2_thumb
After a heartbreaking betrayal, Mabel Adams reinvents herself for the fourth time. Regardless of the alarming reputation of the deceptively sleepy town of Misted Pines, she decides to move all the way across the country to start yet again.

Mabel has a one-night stand with a mountain man who rocks her world in bed but doesn’t tell her his name.

The next day, after receiving a threatening note from her neighbors, she discovers she’s living next to an extremist cult where the women go in and are never seen again.

After serving, former Navy SEAL Hutch Hutchison is living a peaceful life on his patch in the mountains outside Misted Pines. He’s been burned so many times by women, he’s happy to train his guard dogs, play his guitar, live remote, and most of all, quiet.

Until he hooks up with a beautiful woman who lives just down the way. And then he discovers she’s been threatened by the cult next door.

Hutch’s protective instinct sparks, and he decides his next mission is to keep Mabel safe at all costs.

But there’s something even hinkier about that cult than Hutch or local law enforcement expect.

As Hutch executes the riskiest mission of his life—keeping Mabel safe at the same time keeping both of their hearts intact—Hutch and the Sheriff’s Department try to unravel the mystery of The Lion and The Lamb before it’s too late.

Because Mabel is in their crosshairs.

And Hutch is not about to allow her to disappear.

5 out of 5 stars

The Woman from Nowhere was an incredible story that I could not put down! As soon as the hero spoke his very first words, I was all in. I loved Mabel and Hutch, learning about them, and the sizzling pull between them as they came together. I loved heading back to Misted Pines and seeing so many great characters and the suspense involved. There were so many fantastic details, and I was on the edge of my seat as it all played out.

I cannot say enough good things about Mabel and Hutch. I loved the angsty, sassy banter between them, it was so fun. I felt for them as their hard histories were learned. I loved how they both persevered and kept on living life to the fullest. I understood why they held themselves back from relationships, so I loved it when their walls started to come down, layers were peeled back, and they opened up and were vulnerable. This was filled with emotion and passion, and a fierce chemistry I could not get enough of. I felt it all!

I loved the drama with Mabel’s cult neighbors, it was thrilling! I loved how Hutch was there for her, in total alpha-protective mode, and how the mystery was woven into their developing relationship. There was a great build to the suspense element that I found exciting. I thought it had the perfect amount of tension and conflict mixed in.

I adore the world of Misted Pines and seeing previous couples and getting their updates. I desperately want Stoney to have a story of his own, that man needs an HEA. I also loved the new characters that were introduced. They all helped to create so many great scenes and wonderful moments. I couldn’t get enough of the different connections, relationships, and friendships.

I felt so pulled into this story. Like I was a part of it, feeling all the emotion, tension, and drama. I loved the descriptions and details, the depth and build, and how this story captivated me. This was another excellent edition in the Misted Pines series that is not to be missed!
