Review: Wild Like the Wind (Chaos #5) by Kristen Ashley

I don’t think I have enough words to express just how much I loved Wild Like the Wind and how much the Chaos series means to me. It’s one of my all time favorite series and Hound and Keely’s story was an AMAZING edition!!!

The brother known as Hound has a reputation. He’s all about cracking heads, having a good time, and when the Chaos Motorcycle Club needs someone to do the tough job, they call on him.

But Hound has a secret. He fell in love with a woman years ago. She’s untouchable. Unattainable. And even when her status changes, for Hound, it remains the same.

Keely Black had it all early and lost it all not long after. Thrown into an abyss of loss and grief, she’s faced a life of raising two sons alone and battling the rage at all that had been ripped from them.

And why.

Words spoken in anger open Hound’s and Keely’s eyes. For Hound, he sees he’s wasted his life loving the wrong woman. Keely sees she’s wasting her life not opening herself to the love of a good man.

5 out of 5 stars

Amazing! Everything about this was phenomenal. The intensity, the drama, the heat, love, the healing, the brotherhood and family. Every detail pulled me in and consumed me. I loved it all!

I don't know if I can convey everything I feel after reading this. There were so many layers and so much depth. The story was well laid out with this incredible build and I hung on every word. I love how the POVs and time line were set up, giving me just what I needed at just the right time. I swear during the prologue I held my breath, so intense! I read most of it with tears in my eyes not breathing. From there it didn't stop. It was just wow the entire time.

I absolutely loved Hound. Getting to know him, the man behind the gruff, what made him tick. He was just so incredible, caring and loving, but also dealing with his own kind of pain. And Keely, oh my gosh I adored Keely! Such a strong woman. She was bold, devoted and determined and basically kicked ass. The two of them together? Amazing! Keely and Hound’s story, learning about them, watching the push and pull between them, seeing them open up was crushing and painful and beautiful and filled with so much hope. It was incredibly emotional and intense. I got choked up and teary eyed more times that I can count. The build to their growing relationship is wonderful

There were so many things that made this an incredible story. The relationships that Hound had, the one we learn about in the beginning which is touching beyond belief, Keely's boys, (seriously! her boys are the bomb!) the brothers,  and Keely's love for her husband and Hounds love and respect for him. Let’s not forget the on going Chaos drama that's been happening over the course of the series. There were so many incredible and well thought out details pertaining to that, even a few things I didn't see coming and I enjoyed the build to it all.

The writing was stellar. It flowed beautifully, pulling me in, captivating me. Kristen Ashley is one of my all time favorite story tellers. This story is very much about love, moving on, healing, family, and brotherhood. I thought this was absolutely incredible. There's something amazing when the world around you truly fades away and you loose yourself into a whole other world. Thank you KA!

Motorcycle Man

Note: It was suggested to me that I read Motorcycle Man (Dream Man #4) first since some of the same characters were in that book. I am so glad I did! I had a great outline of who is who in the Chaos MC world. If you don’t read it first, you wont be lost however. It was just nice to have the extra details. Read my review for Motorcycle Man.

When I read a Chaos book, I am all in. Completely immersed in the story, lost to the world and characters. Honestly, my family is lucky I remember to make dinner, lol! What’s a series you get completely lost in? Let me know!
