This was so freaking good! I loved Kai and Isabella's story, the fantastic build to them coming together, and the back and forth between them. King of Pride was a hit!
King of Pride (Kings of Sin #2) by Ana Huang
She's his opposite in every way...and the greatest temptation he's ever known.
Reserved, controlled, and proper to a fault, Kai Young has neither the time nor inclination for chaos—and Isabella, with her purple hair and inappropriate jokes, is chaos personified.
With a crucial CEO vote looming and a media empire at stake, the billionaire heir can’t afford the distraction she brings.
Isabella is everything he shouldn’t want, but with every look and every touch, he’s tempted to break all his rules…and claim her as his own.
***
Bold, impulsive, and full of life, Isabella Valencia has never met a party she doesn’t like or a man she couldn’t charm...except for Kai Young.
It shouldn’t matter. He’s not her type—the man translates classics into Latin for fun, and his membership at the exclusive club where she bartends means he’s strictly off limits.
But she can’t deny that, beneath his cool exterior, is a man who could make her melt with just a touch.
No matter how hard they try, they can’t resist giving into their forbidden desires.
Even if it costs them everything.
King of Pride is a steamy opposites attract, forbidden billionaire romance. It's book two in the Kings of Sin series but can be read as a standalone.
Contains explicit content and profanity. Recommended for mature readers only.

4 out of 5 stars
I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to read King of
Pride, I loved this story. I loved the emotion, tension, verbal sparring, and growing passion. I loved how Isabella and Kai were total
opposites, yet there was an undeniable pull between them. There was a fantastic
build to them coming together, and I enjoyed every second.
I thought Kai and Isabella were great characters with excellent
chemistry. Isabella seems wild and free while Kai was more buttoned up and straitlaced. I loved getting to know them and their history. Every time they were in
the same room together, I could feel that crackling heat and angst simmering between them and
couldn't wait for everything to explode. I was filled with so much anticipation for them
to get together. I loved that moment when everything breaks and their
feelings come rushing in, it was perfect.
I liked how Kai and Isabella’s relationship was intertwined
with what was going on in their personal lives, with the pressures they were
under from their families, and how those outside pressures affected their
choices. I felt for Isabella as she found her way and her confidence grew. I
loved watching Kai loosen the reins on his feelings and open up. There was a
decent amount of drama added with something he had going on with his company, and Isabella with her family, that I enjoyed. I liked how they were there for
one another when it counted and how their relationship evolved.
I loved the emotion, the passion, the chemistry, and the well-timed
build to their happily ever after. It was a solid story that wrapped up with a
super sweet and satisfying epilogue. Great read!

I can't believe it took me so long to read this one. What book have you put off reading for whatever reason? Let me know! Mine was totally mood-based.
