From national bestselling author Sylvain Reynard comes the haunting, unforgettable tale of one man’s salvation and one woman’s sensual awakening . . .

Enigmatic and sexy, Professor Gabriel Emerson is a well-respected Dante specialist by day, but by night he devotes himself to an uninhibited life of pleasure. He uses his notorious good looks and sophisticated charm to gratify his every whim, but is secretly tortured by his dark past and consumed by the profound belief that he is beyond all hope of redemption.

When the sweet and innocent Julia Mitchell enrolls as his graduate student, his attraction and mysterious connection to her not only jeopardizes his career, but sends him on a journey in which his past and his present collide.

An intriguing and sinful exploration of seduction, forbidden love, and redemption, Gabriel’s Inferno is a captivating and wildly passionate tale of one man’s escape from his own personal hell as he tries to earn the impossible—forgiveness and love.

4 out of 5 stars

This was an excellent story and I really enjoyed it! I was captivated from the beginning. Gabriel and Julia are well written, complex characters with lots of layers and I enjoyed the journey of them coming together. There was so much longing and sensuality, they have extraordinary chemistry.

Watching Julia come into her own and standing up for herself was great even though I wish she would have done it more often. I loved Gabriel and Julia’s animosity in the beginning of the story and the argument between her and Gabriel is in his classroom was fantastic!  There were really fun, lighthearted lines in this story as well and I found them entertaining. Learning about Gabriel and Julia’s past was heartbreaking. Gabriel's retelling of his past histories was very emotional. This book was sensual and hot, with an incredible build. When the final scene with them together takes place, it was wonderfully romantic, steamy, and incredibly well written.

I enjoyed all the different characters that were introduced, how everything played out with them, and the drama they brought. I do have a lot of lingering questions so I am looking forward to reading the second book in the series, Gabriel’s Rapture.

This was a well written story even though there were a several parts that I felt were a little drawn out. I had to remind myself a few times that this was a modern day story because sometimes it felt old fashioned. That old fashioned-ness did seem to fit with their characters so I just went with it. It's a deeply moving love story and my emotions were working overtime. It was like I kept having to catch my breath while reading because I was so effected by it.

Wonderful story that I think is a definite must read.
