The New York Times bestselling author of Beautiful Bastard, Beautiful Stranger, and Beautiful Player starts a brand new story of friends, love, and lust with Book One of the Wild Seasons series.

One-night stands are supposed to be with someone convenient, or wickedly persuasive, or regrettable. They aren’t supposed to be with someone like him.

But after a crazy Vegas weekend celebrating her college graduation—and terrified of the future path she knows is a cop-out—Mia Holland makes the wildest decision of her life: follow Ansel Guillaume—her sweet, filthy fling—to France for the summer and just…play.

When feelings begin to develop behind the provocative roles they take on, and their temporary masquerade adventures begin to feel real, Mia will have to decide if she belongs in the life she left because it was all wrong, or in the strange new one that seems worlds away.

5 out of 5 Sweet Filthy Stars

This was just AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL and I loved Mia and Ansel so much. They had an intense connection and them together was just so real and engaging. This story was funny, sexy, and full of growth. It was just - Yes! This! Loved! There is this incredible build throughout, all these elements, details laid out and it made me completely immersed in their lives. I laughed and cried. I enjoyed their casual and fun banter as well as their super steamy hot times. You could feel the tension and anxiety in certain situations when problems arose between the two. They were real people with real problems and past mistakes that came together in a crazy situation wanting to make it work. I thought it was perfect.

I laughed out loud so many times while reading this, held my breath in anticipation, and got weepy on several occasions. I was just fully pulled into their world. I didn’t even pay attention to the percentage on my Kindle because I was so immersed. I really enjoyed how Mia and Ansel’s friends played into the story as well. We got to meet Mia’s friends Lola and Harlow and Ansel’s friends Oliver and Finn. From this book I got an excellent feel for those secondary characters and thought their personalities really showed through. I'm excited they will be in more stories (Dirty Rowdy Thing with Finn and Harlow is next!).

I thought Ansel and Mia were extremely well written characters. Ansel is sexy, charming, and so very sweet (I wrote “I love him” in my notes repeatedly!). Mia is a kind and loving sole but feels cornered in a certain situation. They both made the choices they did because of past circumstances and it created a wonderful, well thought out story. I have to say Ansel made my heart drop around 80% and I freaked out a little but kept right on reading because I was so invested and I was rewarded with an incredible ending. They're so sweet and loving and I loved it all.

Christina Lauren have this magical way of laying out all the detail in people's lives and really pulling you into that world. When something happens with them, you feel it, like it is happening to you. I will forever be a fan because nothing engages me and pulls me in and makes me ignore my family more than a story written from this amazing duo.

CLo

Christina Lauren is the combined pen name of long-time writing partners/besties/soulmates and brain-twins, Christina Hobbs and Lauren Billings. They are the authors of several Young Adult and Adult Fiction titles. Some of their books have kissing. Some of their books have A LOT of kissing.

Lauren Billings (but everyone calls her Lo) has a Ph.D. in neuroscience and before she made writing her full-time job, would spend her days doing nerdy research-type things wearing a lab coat and goggles. She is silly Mommy to two littles, wife to one mountain biking home brewing scientist, bestie to a shoe-stealer, and an unabashed lover of YA and romance.

Christina Hobbs (but you’ll always hear Lo call her PQ) used to spend her days in a junior high counseling office surrounded by teenagers. Married to the cutest boy in school, she has a thirteen year old daughter, is an unapologetic lover of boy bands and glitter, and also likes to steal Lo’s shoes.
