From New York Times bestselling author Alice Clayton, the first in a brand-new romance series telling the humorously sexy tale of Roxie, a private chef who gets a taste of love—but is it to stay, or to go?

After losing almost all of her clients in one fell swoop following an accident involving whipped cream, private chef to Hollywood’s elite Roxie Callahan gets a call from her flighty mother, saying she’s needed home in upstate New York to run the family diner. Once she's back in the Hudson Valley, local organic farmer Leo delivers Roxie a lovely bunch of walnuts, and soon sparks—and clothing—begin to fly. Leo believes that everything worth doing is worth doing slowly…and how! But will Roxie stay upstate, or will the lure of West Coast redemption tempt her back to Tinseltown?

5 out of 5 stars

Perfection. I loved this. Adored it! From start to finish I was laughing and smiling and loving Roxie and Leo together. Alice Clayton is a master!

I can't tell you how many times I laughed in this, literally burst out laughing (scaring my dog!). Roxie and Leo meeting for the first time was just so hysterically awkward and awesome, I couldn't get enough. Seriously priceless! They are both such excellent characters and I loved getting to know them and being lost in their lives and story.

This was so freaking funny but it was also a sweet and emotional and oh so sexy. Roxie and Leo had the best chemistry. I am a sucker for great verbal sparing and this was full of it. Loved the innuendos as well, with a title like Nuts you can sure bet there will be some food innuendo and it’s pretty fantastic. Roxie and Leo were just so real to me, you could feel that unspoken emotion and need. And the hot-o-meter? They had amazing chemistry and attraction mixed with this great build, and when they’re finally together, it's a frenzy of hotness!! A FANTASTICALLY HOT awesome frenzy.

Love the other characters that were introduced. Chad and Logan were spectacular. Roxie’s mother was great and a total trip, the towns folk, waitresses, all of them. And Oscar. Oh Oscar. I hope his story is next. Super tall, hot, and gruff, bring on Oscar. And the tattoos. Yes please, Oscar. I’m a fan of the strong, silent ones.

I love Alice Clayton and all the emotions her writing makes me feel while reading. This was so well developed and I loved all the details. The timing throughout was perfect. Fanatic build and a major I-didn't-see-that-coming in the second half. Loved it from start to finish. It was a joy to read.

I know I'm getting gushy... I can't help it. Nuts was just so refreshing! There were so many priceless moments... It was witty and engaging and seriously fun and super hot! Fantastic read! How everything unfolded was awesome but these characters and really delving into Roxie’s mind, it was all so great. The best internal dialog ever!!! Oh – and the epilogue… dies. The whole book deserves an 80's slow clap!!! ;-)
