Heeeyyy!!!! It’s time for another Let’s Talk About That Story. Happy April! Yes, I know, it’s the 19th and I’m only getting to this know. I have no excuse except I’ve been busy reading and doing a half hearted attempt at Spring Cleaning and have no desire to be on the computer. This is a problem when you have a blog, lol! I just try to go with the flow… or ebb and flow as the case may be since I didn’t get this out early in the month like I wanted to.
Without further ado, let’s talk about the awesomeness of New Releases, what’s On My Radar, Reviews Coming Soon, Audio Book Love and Longmire… I mean Randomness.
Let’s talk about what’s new in April! So many fantastic new releases. I’m honestly a little overwhelmed. There are so many things I want to read and am scheduled to read (blogger life!) that it’s hard to know where to start sometimes. I’m just trying to pick what fits my mood… so far so good! It’s honestly an awesome release month and I pretty much want to read them all at once! :-)
A lot of these are already out… some coming soon… I thought each one looked awesome so the following are officially On My Radar have been added to my TBR in the last month. Technically I’ve already read one of them but I’m still sharing because it was awesome (Silver Silence).
My Reviews Coming Soon list is always in flux depending on when I post the actually review but this is what’s coming down the line. Yes, some of these are in May and June but I thought I’d share because, well, I can. ;-)
I have been in audio book heaven and have to share some Audio Book Love. I finished Release Me and Claim Me by J. Kenner and now I’m ready to read the last two book in the series, Complete Me and Anchor Me. I also listened to one of my favorite Christina Lauren books, Dirty Rowdy Thing (#FinnForTheWin). Now I’m listening to Ride Steady by Kristen Ashley and am patiently waiting for Sweet Dreams to be available from the library. It’s the second book in the Colorado Mountain series (it’s a FAVORITE series of mine!!!).
I’m hoping to listen to The One Real Thing by Samantha Young and The Marriage Contract by Katee Robert soon. I’ve got them on request from the library as well but they’re popular so I might be waiting a while.
Look what’s finally available on audio…
I have loved reading the Rugby series by LH Cosway and Penny Reid and already own The Hooker and the Hermit and can’t wait to get these two as well. Bring on The Player and the Pixie and The Cad and the Co-Ed!
I have a serious Longmire addiction! Have you seen this show? My husband and I have been binge watching on Netflix. It’s an A&E show. I freaking LOVE this show. I’m not sure what it is about it but I am HOOKED. The characters, the subtlety of it all, the scenery, Lou Diamond Phillips. It’s all fantastic. The percentage on the DVR keeps going up because I don’t want to watch anything else, lol!
I’m skipping Then, Now, and Next. This one is hard to keep up with since I’d like to start working on this post throughout the month and those book reads are always fluctuating. Maybe I’ll just retire it.Who knows.
I’ve decided to get my Green Thumb on so we bought some flowers and a Lemon Tree. I have to share (as embarrassing as it is), I pretty much have a black thumb and as hard as try, I have a terrible time keeping plants alive but I figured I’d give it a shot. Again. I killed a cactus people. A CACTUS! *hangs head* One of these days I’ll figure it out and keep a plant alive longer than 6 months. A girl has to have a goal, lol!
I also wanted to share my proud of myself moment. On April 4th I hit a goal of 365 workouts in a row. I know that sounds crazy but I did it. Over the past year I’ve changed my way of eating thanks to Beachbody, lost 25 pounds, and made exercise a regular thing. I honestly don’t think I have ever felt better! So yeah… go me! It’s not always easy, some days suck, but I stick to it as best I can… and it’s worth it! Because damnit, I’m worth it. (I feel like I’m saying that in a Stewart Smalley voice, lol!)
Alrighty… that’s it. That’s all I’m talking about in April. I’m feeling rather behind but oh well, such is life. Hope all that celebrate Easter had a great one and no one is overdosing on candy.
Thank you for being here and your support. You all are the best!
p.s. I really need to take a new cover photo picture for the title. Or rearrange my books so they look prettier, lol!
What’s on your TBR this month? What releases are you most looking forward to? Any personal accomplishments? Let me know!
