Kylie Scott returns with the highly anticipated follow-up to international bestseller Lick.

Mal Ericson, drummer for the world famous rock band Stage Dive, needs to clean up his image fast—at least for a little while. Having a good girl on his arm should do the job just fine. Mal doesn’t plan on this temporary fix becoming permanent, but he didn’t count on finding the one right girl. Anne Rollins never thought she’d ever meet the rock god who plastered her teenage bedroom walls—especially not under these circumstances. Anne has money problems. Big ones. But being paid to play the pretend girlfriend to a wild life-of-the-party drummer couldn’t end well. No matter how hot he is. Or could it?

5 out of 5 stars

Drummers are my new favorite. I loved this! I could not put it down and pretty much blew off an entire day because I had to know what happened next.

Mal and Anne’s relationship gets off to an interesting start. It's fun and crazy and I kept wondering what the heck Mal’s motivation was. He is a sexy, drumming ball of energy that is a force to be reckoned with once he sets his mind on something. Anne is so sweet and genuine but also guarded. Them together was just so entertaining and enduring. I thought Mal and Anne had a great connection. There was chemistry and just the right amount of sexual tension. I loved how their relationship developed and grew. There was a great build to the sexy times and then bam! lots of hotness.

There are some seriously funny scenes throughout the story. I was laughing my head off about the bed scene and the neighbors. That was priceless!

I felt like I really got to see who Mal was because he is definitely more than meets the eye. Humor is his go-to and he has some great lines in this that made me laugh. Humor can also be a shield so learning about why he was acting the way he was, was extremely sad. I liked Anne’s growing confidence through it all and felt like she really blossomed throughout the book.

All the members of Stage Dive where in the story and I liked how they were integrated. I loved getting to know Ben more, I could picture him in my head perfectly. I’m happy that Ev and David were in the story, love them. It was great seeing Lauren and Nate too. Jimmy fascinates me because he always seems to be in a bad mood with a big chip on his shoulder and I’m thrilled that his story is next.

There was some sadness in this book too and I totally choked up. The ending was incredible. I think Kylie Scott was trying to kill me. I was on the edge of my seat and couldn’t read fast enough… drama, tension, and so much emotion! I had so many questions throughout and love that they all got answered. I love a good epilogue and this one was great. By the time I got to the end, my heart was happy.

I thought the story was well developed and had a nice pace to it all. This story was filled with humor, emotion, drama, and the perfect amount of hotness.
