A captivating new sexy standalone romance by New York Times bestselling author Melissa Foster.

Special Forces veteran and Dark Knights Motorcycle Club member Bullet Whiskey lives to protect his family, their bar, and the residents of his small hometown. He’s rough, unapologetic, and haunted by a secret, painful past. He’s also a master at keeping people away, and when his sister hires gorgeous and sweet Finlay Wilson to help expand their biker bar, he knows just how to get rid of her.

After losing her boyfriend and her father, Finlay moves back to her hometown to be closer to the little family she has left. She needs her temporary job at Whiskey Bro’s to get her catering business off the ground, and she’s determined not to let the gruff, arrogant mountain of a man Bullet Whiskey scare her off.

Finlay is everything Bullet has never wanted. She’s afraid of his dog, afraid of motorcycles, and sweet enough to give him cavities, but as she weaves her way into the hearts of everyone around him, he’s powerless to resist her charms. Passion ignites, but trust doesn’t come easily, and when their pasts collide, Bullet finds out the true meaning of protecting those he loves.

5 out of 5 stars

I am so in love with Bullet Whiskey and am kicking myself for not starting The Whiskeys series sooner. This was so freaking fantastic. I loved every second!

Bullet and Finlay were awesome and had the best interactions. There was a fun mix of animosity and chemistry between the two and I love how Finlay stood her ground with Bullet. She's just a wonderful force of nature that made me smile. I loved her strength and perseverance. And Bullet? A new book boyfriend for sure! He was so fantastic. All gruff with attitude but he was so sweet and caring, such a protector. I loved watching them fall for one another, fighting those feelings and everything that was discovered along the way. They just had so many great moments together, it made me incredibly happy.

Bullet and Finlay both have quite a past and there was a lot of emotion as everything was learned. I got choked up on more than one occasion just feeling it all. It was also really entertaining, there were these really nice lighter moments that totally made me chuckle and smile. And of course love and romance... the gruff ones who think they can't do romance seem to do it pretty darn well. Bullet totally made me swoon!

The writing was great. I loved the details and pace. I was so into everything. It had the perfect mix of everything I love in a story. It was sweet and fun with the perfect mix of hotness, emotion, and love. I loved all the secondary characters and how full they made the story feel. I am so excited to go back and read the previous two stories in the series. This one made me excited to read them all.

This was so just incredibly entertaining and I was thrilled with the conclusion. Finlay and Bullet are wonderful. His gruff to her sweet made the perfect combination. I absolutely loved this!

It’s very rare that I read a series out of order but I loved the synopsis of this one so much, I just had to jump right in. Are you a read-in-order person or can you pick up anywhere in a series? Let me know!
