Book Review Recap July 2021

July was a seriously fantastic reading month. There was a fisherman and a spoiled rich girl, a psychic and her hot boyfriend solving a fun mystery, enemies to lovers snowed in together, swoon-worthy historicals, and a smokin' hot anti-hero. Be sure to check out my latest reviews below.

If you need an escape from reality, if you want entertaining antics, awesome banter, fantastic humor, fun mysteries, and a quirky but loveable cast of characters, then this is the book for you. I laughed myself silly while loving the crazy chaos that unfolded in Riley and Nick's lives. Riley Thorn and the Corpse in the Closet was a hilarious delight and I had a blast reading it!

Book Review: It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey | About That Story
It Happened One Summer (It Happened One Summer #1) by Tessa Bailey
It Happened One Summer was such a fun read! It was entertaining, incredibly sweet, and super sexy. I loved the Schitt’s Creek meets Deadliest Catch vibe in rom-com form. I adored Piper and Brendan and loved the ups and downs of them coming together. This was an absolute delight and I pretty much inhaled it.

Book Review: The Brazen (Calamity Montana #3) by Willa Nash | About That Story
The Brazen (Calamity Montana #3) by Willa Nash
I absolutely loved The Brazen. I swear every new couple and book I read in the Calamity Montana series becomes an instant favorite. Kerrigan and Pierce were the best. I loved their ups and downs and couldn't wait to find out all of Pierce's secrets. I felt so pulled in, ignored everything around me, and devoured this. I loved it!

Book Review: Devil in Disguise (The Ravenels #7) by Lisa Kleypas | About That Story
Devil in Disguise (The Ravenels #7) by Lisa Kleypas
Devil in Disguise was an exceptional story. With wonderful characters, rich details, and a strong storyline filled with twists and turns, I was captivated from beginning to end. I feel like this story made me fall in love with Lisa Kleypas all over again.

Book Review: Deacon (Unfinished Hero #4) by Kristen Ashley | About That Story
Deacon (Unfinished Hero #4) by Kristen Ashley
Deacon was such an emotional story filled with heartache and healing. I loved seeing Cassidy and Deacon come together and I was caught up in their story the entire time.

Book Review: To Sir Phillip, With Love (Bridgertons #5) by Julia Quinn | About That Story
To Sir Phillip, With Love (Bridgertons #5) by Julia Quinn
This was another great story in the Bridgerton series. I loved getting more of Eloise and her vibrant personality and how she and Phillip got to know each other. To Sir Phillip, With Love was sweet, funny, and engaging. Wonderful read!

Book Review: West End Earl (Misfits of Mayfair #2) by Bethany Bennett
West End Earl (Misfits of Mayfair #2) by Bethany Bennett
I enjoyed West End Earl and thought it was entertaining and unique. There was light drama and witty dialogue and I thought it was a good addition to the series.

My favorite way to reread books is to listen to them on audio. I feel like the story is completely new and fresh even though it's one I already know and love. In July, I listened to Rock Chick by Kristen Ashley and then immediately started Rock Chick Regret

things-to-note
The Follow Me Trilogy will be complete on August 10th. Are you ready for the conclusion to Braden and Skye's story?

I had the opportunity to read an early copy of The Dating Playbook by Farrah Rochon and absolutely loved it. This book releases on August 17. You won't want to miss it!

Tin Gypsy by Devney Perry releases on August 31st and I cannot wait. I am 100% positive the final book in the Clifton Forge series is going to be epic!

This shout-out is for the taco lovers of the world. I bought these Stainless Steel Taco Holders and I am totally in love with them. This is an item I didn't know I needed until I had it. It just makes things even simpler. It's not like tacos are difficult or anything, it's just a super nice thing to have.

I won't even pretend to understand how all the algorithms work for different forms of social media so make sure to follow me all the places so you don't miss a thing.
