“A wedding is the beginning of the end.” —Lochlan Blaine

Look, I’ve seen firsthand what marriage does to a man. I’m not interested. You want to take the leap? Fine. But have the decency to elope. Leave me out of it.

And then I see her. The happily-ever-after-loving bridesmaid at the wedding I couldn’t get out of.

This flower-wielding bombshell is all wrong for me. But one night together is enough to convince me that she could be the answer to my problem. All I need is three weeks with her…

“Weddings are magic.” —Tilly Camden

I love love. And weddings. That’s how I land the best job in the world: professional bridesmaid. Brides hire me to make sure their big day goes off without a hitch…usually while dressed in taffeta.

I can’t wait until I find the one. The cranky, three-piece-suit-wearing Adonis who smirks at the idea of happily ever after is definitely not him. Lochlan Blaine has “heartbreaker” written all over him.

I should know better. But when a panty-melting one-night stand turns into an offer I can’t refuse, what’s a bridesmaid to do? It’s only three weeks. It’s just business.

I can’t possibly get my heart broken. Can I?

4 out of 5 stars

Without a Hitch was a super sweet and entertaining story that had me laughing and smiling. I loved the characters and all their ups and downs, it made for an addicting read because I was always excited to find out what would happen next. I adored it!

Tilly and Lochlan were wonderful and I enjoyed learning their history. I loved Tilly’s infectious personality and how loving and caring she was. Lochlan had a grumpy vibe happening and I liked getting to peel back his layers and find out just how charming (and sexy!) he really was. I felt for him and all the turmoil from his past. I loved Lochlan and Tilly’s instant connection, that fire between them, and I was thrilled that the story jumps right in with some sexy times. I loved Lochlan fighting his feelings and watching him fall hard for Tilly. I liked the path that life took Tilly on and how her new business venture was formed. There was a great mix of fun, playful moments, a bit of tension and angst, some really good drama, and a whole lot of heat. I enjoyed it all.

There’s a nice cast of characters involved. Lochlan’s family was a delight and I liked learning all about their dynamic. I liked his assistant as well. Tilly’s sisters and friends were great and I loved her crazy neighbor. They helped to create a lot of witty scenes. I did like all the characters however there were a lot of them so it could be slightly overwhelming at times. That being said, I found them all intriguing and want to read more of this author so I can get to everyone’s books.

I was hooked while reading and fully invested. It did feel a little long at times and there were certain moments that were a bit over the top but it was the overall story with the likable characters and fun scenes that had me reading until the end. It was sweet, spicy, full of so much heart, and outright entertaining!
