When Jacqueline follows her longtime boyfriend to the college of his choice, the last thing she expects is a breakup two months into sophomore year. After two weeks in shock, she wakes up to her new reality: she's single, attending a state university instead of a music conservatory, ignored by her former circle of friends, and failing a class for the first time in her life.

Leaving a party alone, Jacqueline is assaulted by her ex's frat brother. Rescued by a stranger who seems to be in the right place at the right time, she wants nothing more than to forget the attack and that night - but her savior, Lucas, sits on the back row of her econ class, sketching in a notebook and staring at her. Her friends nominate him to be the perfect rebound.

When her attacker turns stalker, Jacqueline has a choice: crumple in defeat or learn to fight back. Lucas remains protective, but he's hiding secrets of his own. Suddenly appearances are everything, and knowing who to trust is anything but easy.

5 out of 5 stars

This was an exceptional story! It was intense, emotional and sometimes heartbreaking, so amazing! I loved it.

Easy was such an incredible story. Solid from start to finish with great pacing, I love how things unfolded. Jacqueline and Lucas are such well thought out, detail characters and they felt so very real to me. They were just so interesting and I felt connected to them. Together they have a beautiful connection that really builds throughout the story. There is so much angst, tension, and longing between the two, you can feel it.

Lucas was such a wonderful character, I loved him so much. There was so much going on with Lucas and all those layers being peeled back had me catching my breath and intently reading. Jacqueline was equally incredible. I loved watching her really come into her own and really believe in and stand up for herself. The two of them together had so much passion and chemistry, it was hard not to get wrapped up in it. I thoroughly enjoyed all the secondary characters and the relationships that were involved. And even though I didn't like the villain, I thought he was extremely well written.

I enjoyed the build to the hotter times in Jacqueline and Lucas's relationship. They had a simmering passion between them. There was lots of longing and there was quite a bit of heat but considering some of the subject matter in the book, I thought anything related to sex was all tastefully done. Tammara Webber did a fantastic job tackling a very hard subject. It was important and relevant, and it was really well done.

Beautifully written, excellent and intense story that was full of so much emotion. I had so many questions, got all my answers, and absorbed every detail. 6 stars!!!!!
