Join Jake & Chelsea, Stanton & Sofia, Brent & Kennedy as they navigate the hilarious and heartwarming hurdles of love, life and the law in this final addition to the Legal Briefs Series.

There was a time when Jake Becker had it all together. He was controlled, driven, ruthless—in and out of the courtroom.

Then, six irresistible orphans and their heartbreakingly beautiful aunt crashed into his perfectly ordered life. They changed everything. They changed him. Now he’s a husband, an upstanding member of society, a father figure—a family man.

And he’s pretty damn good at it.

Sure, he has to referee sibling smackdowns, re-learn algebra, ensure his clients stay of jail, and keep his wife happy—but it finally feels like he’s got it together again....

So, of course something has to screw it all up. It’s huge. Life-changing. Kind of terrifying.

And it will be the most amazing, perfect thing he’ll ever do.

5 out of 5 stars

I love this series so much. With the end of Appealed I didn't think it could get any better (because I thought that was fantastic). I was so wrong, this was the perfect ending. The minute I picked this story up, I got choked up and pretty much stayed that way even though it was fun, entertaining, and fresh. I thought Sidebarred was just perfect! From beginning to end, I was smiling and laughing and got teary eyed.

Loved every detail about Jake, Chelsea, the kids, were their life is at, and what was  going on. I loved all the updates on Stanton and Sophie, and Brent and Kennedy too. Every single thing had me happy for them, caught up in it all.

There were so many hysterical parts, I'd literally burst out laughing. There are some seriously awesome one liners and my Kindle got well highlighted. There was a bit of conflict, I mean it's Stubborn Jake, so of course there was, lol! And I love how that all played out. A great mix of humor and heart.

The most spectacular thing is that there are so many special moments, these small things that shine through that make a huge impact. These little details that make you really feel and get caught up in everything that's going on. The relationships Jake has with everyone and the kids. It was just so touching. I can't even explain it. And the epilogue at the end, totally bawling, feeling all the emotion that was happening.

Absolutely PERFECT! Thank you Emma Chase.
