After finishing The Swedish Prince, I dove right into The Wild Heir. I needed more of this world and these amazing characters. This was a truly fantastic read.
The Wild Heir (Nordic Royals #2) by Karina Halle
At first glance I probably seem like any good-looking guy in their late twenties. I have an obscene amount of confidence, a tattooed body sculpted by the Nordic gods, and I love the ladies as much as they love me.
If I’m not BASE jumping or car racing, I’m chasing other devious thrills with the woman of the week. And that’s fine if you’re the average single guy.
But I'm not the average single guy.
I’m Crown Prince Magnus of Norway and my latest scandal just landed my entire royal family in hot water.
Now the only way the monarchy can save face is for me to smarten up – publicly. If I don’t, I’ll no longer be heir apparent to the throne. So it’s either I abdicate my future role as King or… I get married.
To a blue-blooded stranger.
Enter Princess Isabella of the tiny country of Liechtenstein.
Quiet, intelligent, and uniquely beautiful, Ella doesn’t like this arrangement any more than I do and she’s not afraid to show it. She says I’m a womanizer, that I don’t take anything seriously, that my ego should be taken down a few pegs, and I think she aims to make me miserable for the rest of my life.
But even as our arranged marriage becomes a war of wit and words, I’m determined to break through Ella’s prim and proper façade to find the wild, sexual and risk-taking woman underneath. I want to uncover the Queen inside her.
The only question is – will she let me?
**The Wild Heir is a standalone royal romance and a spinoff of The Swedish Prince but it is not necessary to read that book beforehand as The Wild Heir is about different characters**
The Wild Heir was so fantastic! I loved every second and literally couldn't stop reading. There was emotion and humor right from the start pulling me in. Excellent read!
I loved Magnus and Ella, I enjoyed getting to know them, laughing with them, and feeling for them. It's such a crazy situation they're in but it was so fun and I loved watching their personalities emerge. Together they could be a bit combative and I loved that push and pull between them. Magnus is such a bold personality, funny and sexy but sweet and caring and I really liked him opening up and seeing those more vulnerable moments. He could be playful and charming and I really liked what that brought to their courtship. Ella was awesome! She seemed so reserved but she was a spitfire and I loved watching her really grow and become bold. She was such a sweet girl but a bit lost it seemed and I loved her coming into her own and owning who she is. They're growing relationship was so fun, I laughed so many times! I felt for them, got mad for them, and enjoyed it all. There was such a great build and a fantastic slow burn to them really connecting and it was all just incredibly entertaining.
The story was just fun and inviting with a really excellent cast of characters. I loved Magnus's friends and his family and the humor they brought. Lady Jane was fantastic, she was a lively character that I really enjoyed. I loved the flow and the fact that it was dual POV. I thought it was well thought out with a great mix of emotion and drama added in.
I really loved this story! It was just a seriously great to read and I was smiling my way through. There were so many awesome scenes as these two come together and fall in love, it just made me melt and my heart feel full. From the beginning I was turning the page, wanting to know all the things, never wanting it to end. A truly fantastic read!

Note: Originally these books were not listed together in a series but at some point that got updated and the series has been named the Nordic Royals. The Swedish Prince, The Wild Heir, and A Nordic King have interconnecting character's in the same world. For me personally, I suggesting reading reading them in the order they were written, which is the order listed above. They’re completely standalone stories and you can be read in any order, I’m just rather fanatical about reading “in order” so I wanted to share my thoughts in case you dear reader, felt the same way.
I normally don’t binge read books but with this one, The Swedish Prince, and A Nordic King, they consumed me and I just couldn’t stop reading. Do you ever binge read books? Let me know!
