I was so excited to start Till Summer Do Us Part and it did not disappoint. I can't tell you how many times I laughed out loud, there were times I had tears in my eyes. Scottie and Wilder had a wild ride and I couldn't get enough. This was the perfect summer-time read!
Scottie Price just started a new job and it's a real sausage fest. She's the only woman on a team filled with Brads and Chads. Expecting a bachelor pad atmosphere, she is quickly corrected when she finds out everyone is happily married.
In an effort to impress her boss, Scottie mentions her nonexistent husband in a company meeting. But eagle-eyed Chad points out her lack of wedding ring. Panicked, Scottie creates a story about her unhappy marriage. Unfortunately for Scottie, her boss has a solution—a one-on-one session with the best marriage counselor in the Northeast, who happens to be her boss’s husband.
With no way out of her lie, Scottie agrees to see him. Frantic, she calls in help from her best friend who sets her up with his brother, an improv-obsessed millionaire.
Enter Wilder Wells. More than happy to take on the job, he teaches Scottie the main rule of improv: always say yes. But the rule backfires during the session when Wilder signs them up for an eight-day summer marriage camp with all of Scottie’s co-workers where she’ll have to share a cabin with her way-too-handsome fake husband.
4 out of 5 stars
Till Summer Do Us Part was laugh-out-loud summer
time fun in book form and is not to be missed! This book had me cracking up
and I could not get enough. It was a light, easy read that was pure
entertainment. Scottie and Wilder were the best characters. Wilder… swoon! I
loved watching these two opposites fall for one another and that attraction
build as they pretended to be married. It was a delight to read!
I loved Scottie and Wilder. I loved Scottie putting herself out
there and starting over after her ex did a number on her. She gets herself into
a situation, which was hilarious, and needed a fake husband. Enter Wilder. He was the sweetest and I loved learning about him. She's a little uptight, and Wilder
was all about improv, so there were some truly hysterical scenes between the two
of them. The chaos and different scenarios that happened while at camp were outrageously
funny. I loved watching their attraction grow in this slow-burn romance, so when
the fake starts to turn real, it was pretty fantastic. I also liked their
personal growth and when they opened up to one another. These two had off-the-charts chemistry, so when the spice kicked in, it hit just right and was fire!
There were other enjoyable characters in the mix, including Scottie’s
best friend, who was Wilder's brother, and I liked the depth that relationship
added for Wilder. I like the bits of tension that the Brads and Chad added, and
Sanders was a trip, I liked him a lot. This story was low-key to almost no drama, but it had just
enough mild friction added as things developed to keep me invested.
This was a super entertaining read filled with so much goodness
that will keep you laughing and leave you with a smile on your face!
