July 2019 Book Review Recap

It's August? How did that even happen? July flew by in the blink of an eye. I shared 5 reviews this past month, had a great time hanging out with my kid, and read a ton (so I have lots of reviews to share soon). I hope you had a great month too. Check out my new reviews below. :-)

Brazen and the Beast (Bareknuckle Bastards #2) by Sarah MacLean
Kindle | Paperback
Brazen and the Beast was seriously entertaining right from the start. It flowed so well and I was wrapped up in the characters’ lives, learning their histories, their dilemmas, feeling their pain, I was caught up in it all. It was riveting! [Full Review]

My heart is so happy! I am thrilled that J. R. Ward revisited Zhadist's story and gave him even more of a happily ever after. He’s my favorite brother! I loved it! [Full Review]

Book Review: The Beauty of Us (Fusion #4) by Kristen Proby | About That Story
The Beauty of Us (Fusion #4) by Kristen Proby
Kindle | Paperback
This was a fun, light story with likable characters. There's a great mix of sweet and heat with some light drama mixed in. It was slightly predictable at times, but all in all, I had a good time reading it. [Full Review]

Luke and Ava for the win! My Rock Chick relisten continues with Rock Chick Revenge (my review). Which means after that awesome couple, I went right into Rock Chick Reckoning (my review) with Mace and Stella. So much for pacing myself, lol! Coming up next will be Rock Chick Regret (my review) with Sadie and Hector.

things-to-note
Black Dagger Brotherhood (14 Book Series) by J.R. Ward
Fun Fact: I've been on a Black Dagger Brotherhood reading binge and I have a ton of reviews to share. I love that they are filled with so much depth and all-consuming. They're long too! I can normally read two in a row before I need a break with something shorter. I am so sucked into the world though, I can't stop reading!

Our bathroom repair should start in the next two weeks. Freaking finally. I had no idea it would be such a long, drawn-out process. Meeting with people, picking supplies... it feels never-ending. I almost see the light ad the end of the tunnel though. Almost.

My afghan crochet project is finished! The photo doesn't do it justice to the purple and cream colors. I made it extra long so my 6'1" husband and I could cuddle underneath at and both our toes would be covered, lol!

Now that August is upon us, I feel back in the swing of things. I feel like I've had a very lax, not very productive summer. I've had a great time relaxing and hanging out with my kid. Now it's time for back to school - his senior year - and to get back to our normal schedule. I am so looking forward to the first day of school. :-)

Hope you all have a fantastic month!
