Sadie Townsend is known by all as The Ice Princess and she’s worked hard to earn her reputation. Her father, a now-incarcerated Drug Lord, has kept her under his thumb her whole life and she’s learned enough from living in his world to give everyone the cold shoulder. But one inebriated night, she shows the Real Sadie to the undercover agent she knows is investigating her father, the handsome Hector Chavez, and he knows he’ll stop at nothing to have her.

Hector makes one (huge) mistake; he waits for Sadie to come to him. Tragedy strikes and Sadie’s got a choice, she can retreat behind her Ice Fortress or she can embrace the Rock Chick/Hot Bunch World. Guided by Hector, the Rock Chicks, the Hot Bunch and her new gay roommates, Buddy and Ralphie, Sadie negotiates a life out from under her father’s thumb, a life that includes poison, arson and learning how to make s’mores.

5 out of 5 stars

This was just THE BEST! I absolutely loved Hector and Sadie's story. So much depth and emotion, I couldn’t get enough.

Hector and Sadie were such strong characters. Hector was so wonderful, sweet, sexy, caring, and so very understanding but also very alpha male but in a quieter way. I absolutely adored Sadie. She had such a tough exterior, and I loved every little step she took as she opened up. Sadie was a truly strong woman and I loved watching her break down and being built back up. I love them together. Things definitely got emotional between the two but they could also be super sweet, playful, and way sexy. I thought there was a great balance with everything.

There was a lot of drama happening, lots of layers, and a ton of characters at play. I love the intricacies of it all. I thought the pace was excellent, wonderful build, and really great writing. Kristen Ashley is an amazing story teller.

I just have to say, I love how the Rock Chicks were represented in this book. Sadie's story is different than any other and I loved that all the women where there for her but giving her space. Really reading what she needed and not going full on Rock Chick until she was ready. I love when things click for Sadie and she really lets her hair down and you can see those Rock Chick friendships in full effect. The Hot Bunch are awesome as always but I loved seeing their sweeter tender sides when dealing with Sadie. I loved the new characters that were introduced as well, Ralphie and Buddy were a great addition.

This was just an excellent, excellent read. I was so wrapped up in it all, hanging on every word, it was hard to out down. Great drama and turmoil, lots of tension but so full of love and heart. Loved the end with the recaps of who is doing what, everything made me so happy and I cannot wait for Aly and Ren’s story next.

Another must read story in the Rock Chick series!
