Steel King by Devney Perry was freaking amazing! I loved every single thing about it and can't say enough good things. And the cover? *thud* Absolutely gorgeous! I had to own this one in paperback. Be sure to check out my review and tell me what you think.
Steel King (Clifton Forge #1) by Devney Perry
The former Tin Gypsy motorcycle club has everyone in Clifton Forge, Montana convinced they’ve locked their clubhouse doors and ripped off their patches. Everyone but Bryce Ryan. There’s more happening at the club’s garage than muscle car restorations and Harley rebuilds. Her instincts are screaming there’s a story—one she’s going to tell.
As the new owner of the small town’s newspaper, Bryce is hungry for more than birth announcements and obituaries. When a woman is brutally killed and all signs point to the Tin Gypsies, Bryce is determined to expose the club and their leader, Kingston “Dash” Slater, as murderers.
Bryce bests Dash match after match, disappointed her rugged and handsome opponent turns out to be an underwhelming adversary. Secrets are exposed. Truths defeat lies. Bryce is poised to win this battle in a landslide.
Then Dash breaks all the rules and tips the scales.
One kiss, and she’s fighting to save more than just her story. She’s fighting to save her heart from the Gypsy King.

5 out of 5 stars
Steel King was a fantastic story with wonderful
characters and a thrilling suspense element happening. I absolutely loved it!
I was on the edge of my seat as everything unfolded. There was drama, intensity,
and heat! I couldn't get enough.
Bryce and Dash were excellent characters. Bryce was
tough and determined and I liked her strength. Dash is strong and sexy and has
this great presence. I loved their meeting, the antagonism and verbal sparring
between them. The building heat was awesome and I enjoyed them fighting their
attraction. I liked learning about them as they opened up and shared their secrets,
there was an incredible build to it all.
I loved the suspense element that was happening and was
on the edge of my seat the entire time. I had a million questions and was
guessing my way through. Some things might have been slightly predictable but I
didn't even care because I was having such a great time reading it. It was
exciting and intense! I loved all the characters introduced, Dash's friends,
his father, Bryce's parents, as well as a few others the reader should discover
on their own. I am extremely excited about the setup for the next book. I love
how this story ended, hooking me completely. I can't wait for the pairing that
will take place in Riven Knight.
This story gives you everything you need to feel pulled in, details,
layers, depth, and emotion. I loved the build to the who done it element as
well. Dash and Bryce have a wonderful HEA but there are still lingering
questions about the overall storyline concerning the suspense element and Dash’s
dad. I'm positive this will be addressed in future books. I can't wait!
This was an excellent way to jump off a new series. I
am hooked on the emotion, intensity, drama, and love. As an added bonus, the cover is absolutely lush! I think it's one of my new favorites. This was an amazing story that's not to be missed!

I'm really looking forward to reading Riven Knight in January. What books are you looking forward to in 2020? Let me know!
I did my best to update the series name and first book title in all the appropriate places where I was able to but the old skull covers will show up in a lot of images. Please note the change. Thank you!
