The Magdalene series has been amazing and I'm sorry to see it come to an end. It went out in a spectacular way with The Time in Between. Cady and Coert were exceptional characters. Be sure to check it out!
The Time in Between (Magdalene #3) by Kristen Ashley
After a painful loss, Cady Moreland is coming to Magdalene to start the next chapter of her life. A chapter that began eighteen years ago but had a heartbreaking ending. The time in between was full of family and friendship, but Cady could never get the man she fell in love with all those years ago out of her heart.
Coert Yeager has learned to live without the girl who entered his life right when she shouldn’t and exited delivering a crippling blow he never would have suspected. The time in between was full of failing to find what he was missing…and life-altering betrayal.
But when that girl shows up in Magdalene and buys the town’s beloved lighthouse, even if Coert wants to avoid her, he can’t. A fire in town sparks a different kind of flame that won’t be ignored.
As Cady and Coert question the actions of the two young adults they once were thrown into earth-shattering circumstances, can they learn from what came in between and find each other again?
5 out of 5 stars
The Time in Between was exceptional! It was filled
with so much emotion, healing, and love. Page after page I felt like my heart
was going to explode. I loved Coert and Cady and the amazing journey they were on.
I was hooked from beginning to end.
I loved the emotional roller coaster
ride this story took me on. I loved learning about Coert and Cady and loved the flashbacks
to their past. I loved the tension and conflict from their younger days, they
were in an intense and complicated situation. I loved the development of them
reconnecting in the present day. There was just so much history between these
two and I hung on every word as they made their way back to each other. It’s
filled with heartbreak and pain and I loved the crazy push and pull Coert and
Cady had in the beginning. There were so many great moments of them opening up
and sharing, working through their past to move on in the present. I enjoyed
their personal struggles and the realizations they came to as well. There was a lot
of growth for both of them. Mixed in with the drama and feelings were super fun
moments and hot ones too. I loved it all.
There was an excellent cast of secondary characters. I absolutely
adored the different bonds that were formed and how families and friends
connected and grew. I also loved seeing the couples from past books in the
series and character connections to other series as well. I liked the drama and
the bits of suspense, and how everything played out with the would-be villain Boston
Stone. The details were great, I loved the build, the different POVs, and character
development. There were a lot of smaller stories woven in as well that added to
the layers and depth. I love how it all intertwined. I loved how the loose ends
were tied up in the epilogue, finding out where everyone was at in their lives,
and how it created so many special, poignant moments.
The third and final book in the Magdalene series was a truly
amazing second chance romance. Absolutely stunning story!
I absolutely loved this series. It's a new favorite! What's one of your favorite series? Let me know!
