Amelia and Mickey were fantastic characters. I truly
enjoyed Amelia’s personal growth and I adored watching her become the woman who
she truly was inside. I had so many questions about her past and choices, I
hung on every word as it was learned. I loved her owning up to past mistakes
and doing everything in her power to move forward and fix things. Mickey was
amazing. I loved his alpha-man ways and how sweet he could be and how he interacted
with his kids. I love how hard he worked and his dedication to who he wanted to
be. Amelia and Mickey had a lot of ups and downs but I enjoyed that push and
pull between them. I loved the want and need as they get to know each other and
how that passion builds, it was intense and emotional.
I loved all the smaller stories woven in with their kids and
with their friends. There was an excellent amount of drama happening as the
story developed. There were so many great details, a lot of depth and layers.
It had a lot of very real, raw moments. The kids stole my heart with
the situations they were in and I thought it was wonderful that they had their
own personal growth too.
This had a lot of standout moments for me where I would
laugh out loud one minute or choke up the next. I was always excited about what
was going to happen next and it killed me to have to put my Kindle down. Kristen
