Wildcat (Mavericks Tackle Love #1) by Max Monroe

synopsis_thumb2_thumb
You’ve never heard this version of the Mile High Club...

I’m the nerdy, book-loving, small-town flight attendant, and he’s the hot, talented,
completely unattainable quarterback who just magically ended up on my plane.

If my life had a historically set, third-person narrator, this would be one of the things that “shan’t ever happen to this maiden.”

But it’s happening.

Quinn Bailey, one of the best quarterbacks in the country—the man who has millions of women fantasizing about him on the regular and a football record that woos most men—is now in full pursuit of winning me.

My body is telling me to go for it, but my brain knows better…

Because there’s nothing simple about falling in love with a superstar.

Especially when the whole world is watching.

4 out of 5 stars

I had such a blast reading this! Wildcat was light and entertaining with the perfect amount of heat. There were so many humorous scenes that had me smiling and laughing, it just made me happy to read.

Let's start with Quinn… hello perfect book boyfriend. He was such a sweetheart! Sexy and flirty and so dang nice. He's instantly likable with an infectious personality. I loved how he pursued Cat and the banter and teasing between them. Cat was delightful. I liked her putting herself out there to follow her dreams. I loved how sweet she was and a little bit out of her element with Quinn. I liked her being bold and trying new things. She was adorably awkward at times and I found it totally endearing. I loved them meeting, the knowing looks between them, the ease of their relationship, and the building passion between them.

I loved that this was told from dual POVs. Quinn's voice made me fall even more in love with him. I thought it flowed well and I felt invested the entire time. It gave me just what I needed to have me hooked. It was super entertaining but there were some really good emotional and important moments mixed in as well that pulled at my heartstrings. I liked Quinn and Cat’s friends and the different bonds they had with them and the playfulness those scenes created. I know there are more books in the Mavericks Tackle Love series so I'm looking forward to which Mavericks player will get their own stories. I'm ready for more.

Thanks to a charming football player with a huge heart and a captivating and endearing flight attendant, this was an incredibly fun and sexy story (and the sexy was sex-ay!) with a wonderful HEA.
