June 2022 in Review

June came and went in the blink of an eye... at least for me. I was busy, busy, busy but I did manage to get a few things posted on the blog. One of these things happens to be one of my favorite books of 2022. Be sure to check out the latest goodness below.

Favorite Read of 2022
Simply incredible. Maggie Moves On is a new favorite! 6 stars! The characters, the attention to detail, the build, the house, and even the dog. There were so many amazing moments filled with so much feeling. I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and completely fell in love with Maggie and Silas. This story was perfection.

A Matter of Temptation (A Matter of Temptation #1) by Stacy Reid
A Matter of Temptation was entertaining and sweet, filled with really good banter, longing, and passion. I liked Mina and Simon and watching the sparks ignite between them. It made for an enjoyable read.

June 2022 in Review | About That Story
This month I was gifted three new books, thank you to Entangled Publishing for A Matter of Temptation by Stacy Reid, First Bride to Fall by Ginny Baird, and The Gunslinger's Guide to Avoiding Matrimony by Michelle McLean. Thanks again to Forever Romance for the advanced copy of Maggie Moves On by Lucy Score, I received this baby back in April and it's one of my favorites!

My favorite way to reread books is to listen to them on audiobook. I feel like the story is completely new and fresh even though it's one I already know and love. In June, I listened to the following favorites:

Dead as a Doornail by Charlaine HarrisAmazon | Audiobook

things-to-note
My 9-year blogiversary was on June 17th. *throws confetti* I was pretty busy with a personal obligation in June so the date came and went without much fanfare. I am pretty proud of myself and all the work I've put into it. I’m a one-woman show with my reading and reviewing so I’m thinking 803 reviews over 9 years isn’t too shabby. :-)

Because of the above-mentioned personal obligation, I pretty much took June off and it was glorious. Even though I wasn't posting a lot I did read several books that I'm excited to share in the near future. There are so many fantastic books releasing this summer and fall. I can't wait!

If you've made it this far, then I want to give one more shout-out for Maggie Moves On by Lucy Score. I loved this one so much that I had to order myself a paperback and I grabbed the audiobook as well.

Life happens and sometimes I can't read as much as I want to. I just remind myself the books will still be there. Here's to all the books I have to look forward to (I'm currently on a Samantha Young kick)! What will you be reading in July? Let me know. Have a great month!
