synopsis_thumb2_thumb
When female wolf shifter Taryn Warner first encounters Trey Coleman, an alpha male wolf shifter with a dangerous reputation, she’s determined to resist his charms. After all, Trey—who was only fourteen when he defeated his own father in a duel, winning the right to be alpha of his pack—can’t have anything to offer the talented healer besides trouble, or so she thinks. Taryn finds herself drawn in by Trey’s forceful demeanor and arctic-blue eyes, and she eventually agrees to enter an uneasy alliance with him. If the two succeed in convincing their respective packs that they’ve chosen each other as mates, Trey will win valuable political allies, while Taryn will escape an odious arranged mating.

But there are a lot of potential pitfalls to this plan—including the very real possibility that the wolf shifters, overwhelmed by their growing attraction to each other, will be unable to maintain the clear heads needed to pull off the deception.

4 out of 5 stars

Feral Sins was an exciting and entertaining shifter romance and I had fun reading it. I loved learning about the characters, the pack dynamics, and different politics. I loved Taryn and Trey and all their ups and downs, the fire and heat between them, and their fantastic HEA. It was an addicting story!

Taryn is a spitfire, I loved her snark, sarcasm, and wit. I loved Trey and his over-the-top alpha commanding self. I really liked their meeting, the arrangement they came to, and how everything evolved from there. Their chemistry was off the charts and I loved them fighting their feelings as they got to know one another, it was heated and intense. There was a lot of back and forth between these two, so there was good drama, tension, and emotion mixed in. I also enjoyed how their wolves played a part in everything and the surprises that came along the way. There were so many great scenes, funny and sweet, and a nice amount of action too.

There was a pretty big cast of characters and I liked meeting everyone with all their different personalities and I’m excited for future stories. I liked the internal workings of the pack, the conflict that was involved at times, and the threat that was in play. I loved the build and thought there were really good details, not super in-depth but they definitely hooked me. The second half seemed a bit slow but when the action started, it made up for any slow moments, I couldn't read it fast enough.

I thought this was an excellent start to a new series and loved all the shifter descriptions about wolves and pack life. It was a captivating and satisfying read with great characters. I need more of the Phoenix Pack series!
