After meeting Caleb in The Reed Rivers Trilogy, I could not wait to read his story. Finding Home did not disappoint, it was so freaking good! I loved him and Aubrey together and their electric chemistry. This is one of those stories I picked up and never wanted to put down. If you love a redemption story, this is a great one to dive into!
Finding Home by Lauren Rowe
The world knows me as C-Bomb, but I assure you, it’s Lil Miss Rule Follower, Aubrey Capshaw, who’s the human equivalent of an atomic bomb.
After tragedy strikes and the toddler with half my DNA inside her loses her beloved mommy, I get the bright idea to hire my daughter’s remaining lifeline, her “Auntie Aubbey,” as my live-in nanny. Also, embarrassingly, as my sobriety coach, so I can fulfill the terms of mandatory rehab.
Going into my forced living arrangement with Aubrey in her small town, I’m determined not to give in to my growing, thumping, white-hot attraction to her. There’s only a month before the custody hearing that will decide my fate as a father, and I’ll need Aubrey to testify on my behalf. Well, you know what they say about best laid plans, right? Yeah. My bad.
I expected Aubrey and me to scorch the walls of my bedroom, once I got her into my bed. What I didn’t expect, though, was that Aubrey would become the center of my universe, along with my small daughter. My family. My home. Which is why, when danger threatens, I don’t hesitate to protect what’s mine.
Finding Home is a standalone, small town, single daddy rockstar romance with suspense, deep feels, spice, no cheating, no third act breakup, and a happily ever after. No prior reading required.

I absolutely adored Finding Home! I loved
Caleb and Aubrey falling in love, their ups and downs, and the sizzling chemistry
between them. I loved Caleb's growth and redemption, and I loved his adorable
little girl, she was the cutest. This was emotional and heartfelt with
the perfect amount of sweetness and heat added. I was so caught up in
everything and I couldn’t put it down!
Aubrey and Caleb were fantastic together. The first time
they met was funny and somber and tense all rolled into one. I loved their
fiery banter from the jump as they're thrust into this uneasy situation where Caleb
is clearly out of his element. There is tension and angst but I love how Aubrey
sees the good in him and wants to help him be the man he was meant to be. Mixed
into all this is an undeniable pull between them that I ate up. I loved the flirting and fire building between them.
It was sexually charged and I could feel that tension. When it all exploded, it
did it in a big way! It was super hot!
I felt for Caleb as he worked through his struggles and
began to heal. I loved him showing his vulnerabilities and making up for past
mistakes, I thought he had a great redemption story. I loved the bond Caleb formed
with his daughter Raine and those precious moments they had together, it made
me melt. Aubrey was wonderful. I liked learning about her and her friendship
with Raine’s mother and how she stepped in when tragedy struck.
I enjoyed all of Caleb’s friends and the found family they formed. I want to go
back and read stories I've missed because this author has a way of making me
want more. There was also an intriguing suspense element woven
in that kept things interesting.
This was a great read, exciting and heartwarming with an
awesome build happening. There was drama and emotional turmoil but is
filled with so much goodness and love, and an amazing happily ever after!
