There is not one thing about Bridesmaid by Chance that I didn't love. From the wonderful characters to the laugh-out-loud moments, this story had me hooked right from the start. Sloane and Hudson were the best! The third book in the Bridesmaid for Hire series is officially available.
Bridesmaid by Chance (Bridesmaid Undercover #3) by Meghan Quinn
Hudson Hopper is in trouble. After doing his business partner Jude a favor by hiring Jude’s younger sister Sloane, Hudson very quickly finds out that she is a massive distraction—especially since she’s now his assistant.
Things get more complicated when Hudson volunteers Sloane to fill in as a bridesmaid for a potential client, and she agrees…with certain stipulations. She’ll be a part of the Regency wedding—corset and all—if Hudson marries her. Sloane knows the value of the trade: he needs her to get into a high-society club to help secure his business deal, and she could use a down payment to secure her childhood home in return.
It’s an instant no from Hudson at first, but when she convinces him that no one will find out, including her brother, and points out how he will benefit from the marriage too…well, Hudson might just find himself saying “I do.”

Bridesmaid
by Chance was
hysterically funny and entertaining, and had the perfect amount of emotion and
tension added. I had so much fun reading this, it's my favorite in the series! I loved Hudson
and Sloane, their marriage of convenience, and the push and pull between them
as they fight their growing feelings. By the end, I was smiling and cheering, it
was just what I needed!
I loved Hudson
and Sloane together. They had the best banter that had me cracking up! Sloane was
trying hard to be professional, but when things go sideways and she unleashes, it
was priceless. The snark was strong with this woman! I loved them getting
married and the why, and watching them come together. There were so many
fantastic scenes throughout that had me laughing so hard that I had tears in my
eyes. There were all these great moments as they got to know each other and
opened up. From the building sexual tension to the flirting and the “my wife”
comments, I couldn’t read this fast enough. Hudson was trying to keep his
feelings in check, but I loved how Sloane kept trying to get in there with her amusing
quips and teasing. When things finally exploded, holy mother, I thought my Kindle
was going to ignite. Hot is an understatement!
I loved
the build and was on the edge of my seat waiting for Sloane and Hudson to get their
HEA. It was a well-developed
story with great descriptions and characters. There were a lot of entertaining
scenes, and the texting with Sloane and Hudson’s siblings had me laughing. There
were obstacles along the way, and I loved the mild drama and emotion that was
formed because of it. Besides the fun, there was so much healing and growth. By
the end, I was teary-eyed because I was feeling it all.
This was
charming and witty and made my heart feel full. I was laughing and swooning my way
through. I felt the love and emotion, the tension and angst, and adored every
scene. I switched back and forth between reading on my Kindle and listening to
the audiobook. I loved the duet narration and thought the narrators took an amazing story
and brought it to life even more. This was truly the best!
