If you ask me if Jonathan Statham makes me happy, I’ll say ‘Absolutely. He’s the man of my dreams and I can’t wait to marry him.’ If you ask me why my ex-husband Ryan is currently one inch away from me—staring into my eyes and pressing his hand against my cheek, I’ll say, ‘I have no f*cking idea…’

Claire Gracen finally has the life she’s always wanted: A career she loves, a man who’s willing to do any and everything for her, and friends that show her the true meaning of the word ‘friendship.’

As she and Jonathan prepare to make the ultimate commitment to one another and plan the wedding of her dreams, she quickly realizes that the hurtful past she left behind in Pittsburgh is a lot closer than she thought.

Sexy, unpredictable, and as charmingly clever as Mid Life Love, ‘At Last’ will captivate you from the first page and never let you go.

(This is book two in the Mid Life Love series)

3.5 out of 5 stars

I enjoyed this story, it was a great read. There was a nice mix of drama, chemistry, and heat!

Jonathon is just as sexy, sweet, and romantic as ever even though he still has his alpha male tendencies. I liked Claire in this story, she really grew on me from the first book though she still frustrated me a little. She was still just as determined but she seemed stronger and more confident but there were times that I wish she would have spoken up for herself more. I enjoyed Claire and Jonathon’s conversations when they’re being playful, those always made me smile. There were some emotional times mixed in also. I loved the half chapters covering their youth, it really helped piece together why Jonathan is the way he is, I thought it was touching.

I really liked the drama that surrounded Claire’s ex husband, he was a piece of work. That part of the story had me on edge and I was anxious for the conclusion. I thought it was great how Claire handled herself with him during their exchanges. As far as the other characters I enjoyed Claire's daughters immensely with their twin-ness, I found them entertaining. I also liked that the relationship with Jonathon's mother was revisited and I was happy with the outcome. I am also really excited that Haley and Corey were touched upon and love where that is headed, can’t wait to read more about them.

This was a really good book with lots of hotness and sexy times involved - some very vivid scenes. This book seemed fast paced to me and there were a few times I felt it jump from one thing to another. It wrapped up with a lingering question that made me laugh (it was very them with their playfulness) and made me wonder if we’d see more of Claire and Jonathon in the future. Great ending as well! It definitely made me happy, I liked how everything played out.

ARC received in exchange for an honest review.
