Reaper’s Fall (Reapers Fall #5) by Joanna Wylde
He never meant to hurt her.
Levi “Painter” Brooks was nothing before he joined the Reapers motorcycle club. The day he patched in, they became his brothers and his life. All they asked in return was a strong arm and unconditional loyalty—a loyalty that’s tested when he’s caught and sentenced to prison for a crime committed on their behalf.
Melanie Tucker may have had a rough start, but along the way she’s learned to fight for her future. She’s escaped from hell and started a new life, yet every night she dreams of a biker whose touch she can’t forget. It all started out so innocently—just a series of letters to a lonely man in prison. Friendly. Harmless. Safe.
Now Painter Brooks is coming home… and Melanie’s about to learn that there’s no room for innocence in the Reapers MC.
5 out of 5 stars
This. Was. AWESOME. It was raw, gritty, passionate, and intense and I could not stop reading!
I seriously couldn't put this down. I was pulled into the prologue with Painter’s intensity and had to know everything. Painter and Melanie had this crazy pull, this ultimate chemistry and it was magnetic. I loved it! There was this awesome push and pull throughout and I could feel it under my skin. So much passion between the two, it was seriously fantastic. Loved the story between the two of them and them coming together. It was sexy and fun as well as heartbreaking, frustrating, and flawed.
The story was incredible. Fantastic build and pace. Loved the time lapse and how the story was all laid out. Both Mel and Painter were great characters with depth. Intense doesn't cover Painter, he’s a great alpha male but he was also really sweet and loving. Melanie was fantastic, she was caring, strong, and determined. There are so many hardships and ups and downs between the two that had me on the edge of my seat, I could not get enough. Painter and Melanie were on a very heated and passionate roller coaster and it made for a heck of a story! Mixed in were emotional moments and super sexy ones. I thought the balance was great.
I love the Reapers MC world. It can be violent and gritty but it's also about family and having each other's back and I just think it's this really great dynamic. There was a great story going on with the Reapers and I loved it as well. It provided awesome drama. Lots of characters in play. Love how they were worked in. Fierce friends and brothers.
Really excellent read. I love the Reapers and I think that this might be my new favorite, giving Reapers Stand a run for its money. Intense and emotional with off the charts chemistry, excellent characters, and drama! This has it all. A must read!
