Book Review: I Could Be Yours by Helena Hunting

Since meeting Nate and his grumpy self, I have been excited for his story and it did not disappoint. I loved him and Essie coming together, the fantastic banter between them, the build, and all the entertaining moments that had me smiling. I Could Be Yours was a wonderful read!

The best man ghosted me six years ago after kissing me, and now I have to plan every wedding event under the sun with him.

Nate Stiles is the definition of serious. Furrowed brow? Check. Rain cloud personality? Double check.

I shouldn’t be thinking about the fact that our kiss was the best one of my life right now. I should be planning the bachelorette party of the millennium.

I shouldn’t be wondering when Nate became such a good dancer after we got roped into salsa lessons with the happy couple. I should be mentally ticking off boxes on my bridal checklists.

I shouldn’t be wondering what it would be like if I didn’t hate Nate Stiles. I should be holding strong against a man who doesn’t believe in love.

My name is Essie Lovelock. I am a reformed love obsessed fairytale fanatic and I’m determined to be the best maid of honor my best friend could ever have.

And I am absolutely not going to fall for the best man.

*Nate and Essie's standalone summer holiday romance. This title can be read as a complete standalone.

4 out of 5 stars

I Could Be Yours was so entertaining! Essie and Nate were wonderful together. She was sunshine and he was grumpy and I ate up their fun banter as I learned all about them. I loved when their sweet turned to heat, feelings became involved, and walls started to come down. There was a great build, I adored all the characters, and the delightful HEA. I couldn't get enough!

I liked learning about Essie and Nate. There was some seriously snarky and amusing verbal sparring happening as they worked on wedding plans together. There were playful battles between them, and I loved watching their chemistry and flirting intensify as different situations unfolded. I loved it when they started to see each other in a new light and let their guards down and open up. It was filled with entertaining scenes as well as heartfelt and emotional ones. I felt for Nate as his past was revealed and what he struggled with, but I loved how supportive Essie was.

I adored the found family from the Toronto Terror world. I loved seeing how much Flip has grown and am very excited for what's up next with Conner and Dred. I really enjoyed getting more of Rix and Tristan and how they got even more of a happily ever after. From the Badass Babes and the men, I loved all the different bonds happening. I also liked seeing the relationship that Nate had with his family and the healing happening there.

This story was pure goodness with the perfect amount of sweet and sexy mixed in! It was a fun read, not stressful, with some light drama and emotion that made my heart happy. I would definitely recommend it!
