USA Today bestselling author Farrah Rochon launches a new series about three young women who become friends when the live Tweeting of a disastrous date leads them to discover they've all been duped by the same man.

Samiah Brooks never thought she would be "that" girl. But a live tweet of a horrific date just revealed the painful truth: she's been catfished by a three-timing jerk of a boyfriend. Suddenly Samiah-along with his two other "girlfriends," London and Taylor-have gone viral online. Now the three new besties are making a pact to spend the next six months investing in themselves. No men, no dating, and no worrying about their relationship status . . .

For once Samiah is putting herself first, and that includes finally developing the app she's always dreamed of creating. Which is the exact moment she meets the deliciously sexy, honey-eyed Daniel Collins at work. What are the chances? When it comes to love, there's no such thing as a coincidence. But is Daniel really boyfriend material or is he maybe just a little too good to be true?

4 out of 5 stars

This was such an entertaining story with smart, well thought out characters. I was engaged the entire time and caught up in everything! Great read!

I loved Samiah and Daniel. Samiah was a strong, independent, determined woman and I loved learning all about her and what she's gone through in her life, and how hard she’s had to work to get ahead. I adored Daniel and how sweet he was and felt for him in the middle of a complicated situation, I enjoyed that small element of intrigue he brought to the story. Their chemistry was fantastic. I loved them from their very first interaction, that pull they had as they fought their feelings was palpable. There was such an exceptional build to the growth of their relationship.

I loved the friendships that Samiah formed with London and Taylor. How they met was epic! I love how they all take it in stride and truly bond and become friends, and learn to lean on one another. This was just as much a story of finding and embracing friends as it was a romance and I loved how that element was woven in. I really enjoyed Samiah’s relationship she had with her sister as well. There were a lot of fun scenes with all of them that I enjoyed.

The writing was so, so good. The build was awesome with flushed out details and I liked the timeline of it all. I liked how their relationship wasn't instant but it felt like it was happening in real-time and I was a part of it. There's a bit of everything I love happening: wit, conflict, angst, mild drama, a fantastic attraction, and a lot of heat.. it was 100% entertaining.

The Boyfriend Project was a wonderful and refreshing read that is about love and friendship, and following your dreams! A fantastic read for sure!
