When a devilish lord and a bluestocking set off on the road to ruin... time is not on their side.

Minerva Highwood, one of Spindle Cove's confirmed spinsters, needs to be in Scotland.

Colin Sandhurst, Lord Payne, a rake of the first order, needs to be... anywhere but Spindle Cove.

These unlikely partners have one week to

  • fake an elopement
  • convince family and friends they're in "love"
  • outrun armed robbers
  • survive their worst nightmares
  • travel four hundred miles without killing each other

All while sharing a very small carriage by day and an even smaller bed by night.

What they don't have time for is their growing attraction. Much less wild passion. And heaven forbid they spend precious hours baring their hearts and souls.

Suddenly one week seems like exactly enough time to find a world of trouble. And maybe... just maybe... love.

4 out of 5 stars

This was so fun! I was smiling and laughing and rooting for Minerva and Colin to get to their happily ever after. I loved the crazy adventure they were on. It was super sweet and incredibly sexy and made for a great read!

Minerva and Colin seemed like fire and ice in the beginning but I loved that animosity and the attraction underneath it. I loved Colin trying to be a good guy and do the right thing. He was so charming, witty, and caring. I loved Minerva. I liked watching her come out of her shell and enjoyed watching her confidence grow. She was so naive yet determined and I enjoyed how she truly bloomed over the course of the story. They had so many great scenes together and I loved how the fake engagement played into it all, it was hilarious and outrageous at times and just really entertaining. I liked watching their feelings grow as they open up and share. I also really enjoyed the building passion between the two, when it unleashes it’s pretty darn hot!

I enjoyed the writing style, the details, and the build as everything unfolded. There's light drama and it moved along at a good pace. Colin could spin a wild tale and sometimes it was a bit outlandish but it was all highly amusing. How Minerva went along with it all and grew from it was just really fun.

This was an enjoyable, light adventurous story with a delightful heroine and a charismatic rake. It’s fun and sexy with a wonderfully sweet HEA!
