February 2023 in Review

In February I read some really awesome books and enjoyed getting lost in each and every one. I'm pretty sure one of them is going to end up on my Favorite Reads of the year list too! Check out my latest reviews below and find some new things to add to your TBR. :-)

February 2023 in Review | About That Story

review-recap
Things We Hide From the Light (Knockemout #2) by Lucy Score
I absolutely loved every single thing about Things We Hide From the Light. It was everything I could have wanted from the fun, entertaining scenes to the emotional, heartfelt ones to the playful antagonism and building sexual tension. I loved all the characters, the community of Knockemout, and the bit of mystery happening. I freaking adored this!

The Girl in the Mist (Misted Pines #1) by Kristen Ashey
I was so excited to start The Girl in the Mist and was not disappointed. I liked the characters, the town and its dynamics, the evolving mystery, and the fantastic build to all the dots connecting. I was completely invested.

Cold-Blooded Liar (The San Diego Case Files #1) by Karen Rose
Cold-Blooded Liar was a wonderful mystery-suspense story with a great build. I was hooked as details emerged and clues clicked into place. I enjoyed the tension and pull between Kit and Sam and am looking forward to where they will go from here.

I love to reread my favorite books on audiobook. To me, it makes the story feel fresh and new even though it's one I already know and love. This month, I listened to Dead and Gone and I'm halfway through Lover Arisen, in preparation for Lassiter

things-to-note
In case you missed it, I shared my Favorite Romance Books of 2022 earlier in January. I loved these books so much and recommend every one of them. Find all the details here!

Did you see the gorgeous cover for Things We Left Behind by Lucy Score? The third book in the Knockemout series releases in September. I've got this baby marked on the calendar. I cannot wait to find out all the nitty gritty details about Sloane and Lucian.

Have you read any new authors lately? Let me know!!! I'm reading Ana Huang for the first time and love her work!
