I had so much fun reading A Love Catastrophe and getting to know Miles and Kitty. These two were adorable together and had me laughing and smiling my way through.

The fur is about to fly between a cheerful cat sitter and a grumpy hockey nerd in this hilarious and charming rom-com by the New York Times bestselling author of Meet Cute.

Kitty Hart has become internet famous as the Kitty Whisperer for her expertise on all things feline, and as a result, her cat-sitting business is booming. But lately, she has a terrible feeling that maybe her life isn’t
quite going where it’s supposed to—especially after falling face-first into her newest client. Not exactly the best first impression.

Fortunately, Miles Thorn is just as bad at first impressions. Strike one: he doesn’t like cats, especially Prince Francis, the haughty and mischievous Sphynx his mom left in his care. Strike two: tackling Kitty to the floor in a misguided attempt to save the pet he continually calls “the gremlin.”

As awkwardness slides into attraction and things start to turn purr-sonal, will these two complete opposites ever be able to find their furry-tail ending?

4 out of 5 stars

A Love Catastrophe was a cute, totally entertaining story filled with awesome scenes, laugh-out-loud moments, and some emotional ones too. I liked the characters and the dual POVs, the adorable moments with the animals, and watching Miles and Kitty come together. It was a fast-paced, easy read that I absolutely enjoyed.

I liked Kitty and her quirky but endearing personality. I liked learning all about her, how her company came to be, and all the subtle innuendos from her name. Miles was a sweetheart but did not make the best first impression when he and Kitty meet. I liked learning the why behind that, their back-and-forth interactions as they get to know each other, and learning about what was going on in his life. There are a lot of hilarious scenes between the two of them (with some animals thrown in!) that had me cracking up, I couldn’t get enough. I liked their chemistry and playful moments. Mixed in with the fun there are some heavier issues they were both dealing with in their lives, I thought it balanced well. I loved seeing them both move forward from the past and embrace change.

This was just a really great story with likable characters who had hearts of gold that were doing the best they could to move on from hard moments in their past. It wasn’t overly angsty or drama filled but there is a tiny bit of conflict to keep it moving forward. I liked the first half better than the second. I liked when they met and the building tension between them as they figure out their attraction, it had me hooked. The second half was steady with a tiny bit of mild drama and a nice happy ending. I liked it but I was missing some of the excitement and spark from the first half.

Overall, it was super enjoyable and I adored the chapter titles, they were the best. This story left me feeling happy with a smile on my face. If you want fun and entertaining, this would be a great choice!
