This book was excellent! I LOVED IT!
Clay and Julia are fantastic together and have off the charts chemistry. Clay is sexy, commanding and controlling and oh man he’s got a dirty talking mouth. He’s so full of passion, I couldn't get enough! Clay is definitely a new book boyfriend. Julia is a feisty, strong and independent woman and I loved her equally. I don't say that often because normally I always like the man better than the woman, but Julia is a fantastic character. I love the connection they have as well.
Clay might be a dirty talker but Julia can hold her own, it's like a verbal sexy time sparing match. That being said, Clay may have a dirty talking mouth but his tender and sweet moments completely melted me. There’s a nice mix of playfulness with the characters also, they are just so fun and likable. The hot times in this book are just wow. I mean – WOW - off the charts, fans self, holy goodness, HOT!
We learn about Clay and Julia’s past but Julia is guarded about sharing hers with Clay. This created an element of drama and tension that I really enjoyed. I felt bad for Clay and what he went through, it makes sense why he feels the way he does about certain things. I understand why Julia isn’t fully opening up to him either, she’s in a tough spot.
I thought this story was extremely well written. It had a strong beginning, middle, and end. It was evenly paced and had the right amount of drama mixed in. There was a nice balance between the story and the hot times as well. The author tells a wonderful story that really builds.
I love that other characters from previous Lauren Blakely books are involved. The author has created an interconnected world and I am HUGE fan of it.
My heart was stuck in my throat at the end, even though I knew a cliffhanger was coming. After This Night is book two in the Seductive Nights series and I’m extremely anxious to find out the conclusion.
Loved this. Loved Clay. Loved Julia. Loved their dirty mouths and hot (and sometimes kinky!) sexcapades. Fantastic story! 5 stars!
