May 2019 Book Review Recap

Goodbye May, hello June! Y'all, May was an off review month for me, I only shared three new reviews... three! I think that's the fewest I have ever shared since I started blogging. It's okay though, life was super busy so I just rolled with it. The good news is, all the books I read were awesome! Find more details on them below.

Book Review: The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren | About That Story
The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren
Kindle | Paperback
The Unhoneymooners was AMAZING! It’s a laugh-out-loud, slow burn romance that had THE BEST banter and one-liners. From start to finish, this was everything I could have wanted. Amazing characters, storyline, and build. So freaking hilarious and full of so much heart. I absolutely loved it! [Full Review]

Book Review: Devil in Winter (The Wallflowers #3) by Lisa Kleypas
Devil in Winter (The Wallflowers #3) by Lisa Kleypas
Kindle | Paperback
Hands down, Devil in Winter is my favorite in The Wallflowers series. A marriage of convenience and a redemption story? Perfection! The journey and growth that Sebastian and Evie go through was amazing. I hung on every word right from the start. An absolutely brilliant story! [Full Review]

Book Review: Lover Enshrined (Black Dagger Brotherhood #6) by J. R. Ward | About That Story
Lover Enshrined (Black Dagger Brotherhood #6) by J. R. Ward
Kindle | Paperback
This was amazing! I loved the complicated characters and the elaborate and detailed world. I was hooked on every detail, loving everything learned and rooting for Phury and Cormia to get to their HEA in the midst of all the drama and personal battles. Excellent story! [Full Review]

The Rock Chick series by Kristen Ashley is a go-to for me. Seriously, one of my all-time favorites. The narrator is AMAZING! I decided to reread the series via audio and kicked it off with the first book Rock Chick. If you've not read or listened to these books, I highly recommend them. You can find all my reviews for the books HERE.

After listening to the first book, I dove right into Rock Chick Rescue. I love Jet and Eddie! With these stories, sometimes I find it hard to take off my earphones and read on my Kindle!

things-to-note
My old laptop fell apart (literally!) so when I switched to a new one, I lost the blogging program I relied on. It also took forever to get everything all set up to how I like it. I forgot what a time-consuming process it was... this is also why I didn't get a lot accomplished in May. There's definitely a learning curve happening because I had to upgrade a lot of my programs too but I'm getting the hang of it. I'm totally digging my new system though, super fast, super sleek, and I'm loving the size (I went from a 17" to a 15"). Anyway, I'm in my happy nerd computer bubble.

We did some traveling and took a quick trip to Kansas. And by quick I mean 14 hours in the car one way, we were there for a day, then turned around and came home the following day. Short yes, but also amazing!

School is officially out! This means that it's me and a kid home and once again my schedule changes. I can't seem to get a handle on my schedule this year at all, lol! I've never used an Editorial Calendar before but might have to set one up for myself to stay on top of things.

Alrighty, that's it for me. Hope everyone has a great month!
