I'm thinking about heading back into a series. I saw Rafael by Laurell K. Hamilton on Netgalley and got pretty excited about it. Years ago I devoured the Anita Blake, Vampire Series, I think I got to book 19. I remember Rafael's character being introduced in the very first book, Guilty Pleasures, so I'm thinking this one should be a good place to dive back in.

A new series from the phenomenal J. R. Ward? Sign me up! I got an email from Amazon about Claimed, the first book in the Lair of the Wolven series, and just about flipped! Holy mother I am beyond excited about this. The Kindle edition is available for pre-order, and it looks like there's a mass-market paperback option, fingers crossed it's released in hardcover too. FYI, The Black Dagger Brotherhood series is one of my all-time favorites so if she's making a spinoff, I will absolutely read it.
We finally have cold weather which means I have an amazeballs soup recipe to share! Broccoli and Cheddar Soup for the win. I swapped out the regular flour for white whole wheat flour and added chicken. It was freaking delicious!
I needed something practical and homey for blanket storage so I found this extra large wire basket at Target. It looks so cute and cozy with all the blankets rolled up and piled inside of it. As a bonus, I don't have a big stack of blankets looking like they're trying to overtake an arm of my couch anymore.
I'm on the hunt for a plant stand. Let me tell you, fall is not the ideal season to buy a new house plant and search for a stand. So far, this side table from Home Depot and this bamboo plant stand from Amazon are in the lead.
Now that it's fall and cooler here, I have outfit goals. I'm all about casual and cozy clothing with the caveat that I can wear it out of the house if I need to. This week I wore something similar to this with my camo sweatshirt from Target, and soon I'm be wearing some version of this with my Nike joggers and super soft and comfortable gray cardigan (which is also from Target.... because I love Target). I am far from a fashionista but I have a Pinterest board called Stylishiness if you want to check it out. :-)
