Book Review: Beautifully Broken Life by Catherine Cowles

After meeting Liam and Tessa in Beautifully Broken Pieces I knew I needed their story ASAP so I immediately started Beautifully Broken Life and it did not disappoint. I loved the development, the emotion and intensity, and the wonderful world the author has created. I'm already in love with this series!

5 out of 5 stars

I loved Beautifully Broken Life! I loved learning about Tessa and Liam and watching them grow throughout the story. The development was wonderful and I loved the slow burn happening between them. I felt for them, was rooting for them, and hung on every word as it all played out. It was such an incredible and powerful story filled with emotion and intensity and I couldn't get enough.

I loved these characters. I hurt for Tessa as I learned about her past and all she'd endured but I loved her perseverance and what she did to keep herself safe. I loved Liam and his patience and how he was drawn to her. He was such a caring, good guy and I liked how he was there for her and wouldn’t give up in the middle of everything that was happening. I loved Tessa’s growth over the course of the story and watching her come out of her shell, open up, and trust. Liam had his own worries he was dealing with and I liked him working through them and figuring out what was truly important in his life.

I liked seeing the Cole family again and how they were woven into the story. I loved Tessa's relationship with Jensen and am excited for Jensen's story. I liked the connection Tessa had to Walker’s mom and I also enjoyed seeing Tuck and Walker form a bond with Liam and support him.

There's drama happening and I swear I read this the entire time waiting for the other shoe to drop and when it did, I held my breath. It flowed well with great development and I loved that it was dual POV.  The attention to detail was exceptional. I loved the tension, the heartache and pain, and most of all the evolution of these characters.

Catherine Cowles can tell one heck of a story and I'm here for it. I am officially in love with the Sutter Lake series! I felt this underlying emotion in me the whole time I was reading and I loved it all. My heart feels full!
