I could not wait to read Dallas and Hemi's story. I've loved their back-and-forth since the first book so I dropped everything when If You Need Me landed on my Kindle. It was such a fantastic read with great characters, laugh-out-loud moments, and a good amount of emotion. You won't want to miss the third book in the Toronto Terror series.
If You Need Me (Toronto Terror #3) by Helena Hunting
A standalone enemies to lovers, fake engagement hockey romance.
I’ve been secretly in love with Wilhelmina Reddi-Grinst since the third grade.
I should be the one taking her to our small-town high school reunion. The prom king finally gets his chance with the valedictorian.
Except she hates me.
To the world, I’m a pro hockey player with a million dollar smile.
To Hemi, I’m the menace who (accidentally) sank her bike to the bottom of the lake.
I never thought I’d be able to right my wrongs until she took the team’s PR job.
I’d hoped I was making progress, winning her over—one geriatric polka party at a time.
Until I got drunk one night and made a mistake. A very big mistake.
Now the world thinks we’re both very much in love—except Hemi is absolutely in loathe.
To save our jobs and reputations, we have to convince all our friends, family, and bosses that our fake relationship is the real deal.
I’ll do anything to protect her, especially if it means I get to be the best boyfriend Hemi never expected.

5 out of 5 stars
I absolutely loved If You Need Me! It was incredibly
entertaining with fantastic banter and the perfect amount of emotion. I was
excited to learn all about Hemi and Dallas and watch them fall in love. I adored
the enemies-to-lover vibe mixed with the fake dating aspect. It created so
many fun scenes and I couldn't get enough. I was laughing and smiling my way
through!
I loved Hemi, she’s smart, strong, and gets things done. I liked
learning about what her childhood was like with Dallas and the hurtful things
she endured, forming who she is in the present day. I loved Dallas and learning all
his feelings for Hemi and his pursuit of her, and all the different ways he has
pushed her buttons to get her attention, some of which were hilarious. When
Dallas gets his chance to have Hemi see him in a new light with the fake
dating, it’s perfect! There were so many entertaining scenes, witty banter,
and different predicaments playing out, that I kept laughing out loud. I loved
the back and forth between these two, learning Dallas’s feelings (this man was
swoony-worthy!) and how Hemi was fighting hers. I loved it when Hemi started to slowly
let her guard down and saw Dallas through fresh eyes. I loved that building
chemistry between them, I felt like there was a semi-slow burn happening but
once that heat ignited, it was beyond hot.
There are a few ups and downs, tension and emotion, and mild
drama along the way but I like how Dallas and Hemi were there for one another
and worked it out, the pace was great. I liked how they are supported by their
awesome friend groups, her Badass Babes Brigade, and all his teammates. I loved
the updates for Tristan and Rix, some updates on others I'm curious about like
Flip, and am super excited for the next story with Roman.
This was another fantastic story in the Toronto Terror
series. I love this world and characters and am looking forward to what's
to come.
