I had so much fun reading this. I couldn't get enough of these fantastic characters, the forced proximity, and all the heat! The Path to Loving Him was a hit!
The Path to Loving Him (Almond Bay #3) by Meghan Quinn
What does one do when they completely blow an interview?
If you're me, you pick up a one-night stand with the most gorgeous man you've ever seen..
That's right, after a lousy interview that could have changed everything for me, I headed over to the local small town bar to sulk when the one man I shouldn't want walked in. And when my friend convinced me to take him back to my hotel room, I didn't think about it, I just did it . . . well, I did him.
It was an unforgettable night, but I didn't stay for breakfast. Instead, I got out of there and tried not to think about him again.
Everything was fine until I received a call from the interviewer saying I got the job as the assistant baseball coach at Almond Bay High. I'd be working directly under the one and only Ryland Rowley--my one-night stand.
Now, I'm not only working with him but renting the apartment above his garage. And I have to deal with the fact that he's the man I dream about and can't have while not letting my attraction get in the way of keeping the harmony between us. Sounds easy, doesn't it?
It should have been, except the plan falls apart when my shower breaks, and night after night I have to slip into his house to use the bathroom only to find him in the kitchen, staring me down with those hungry, single dad eyes.
4 out of 5 stars
The Path to Loving Him was seriously entertaining and sexy fun! I had a blast reading it. I loved Ryland and Gabby's off-the-charts chemistry, Ryland’s relationship with his adorable niece, and all
the emotional moments that were mixed in.
Ryland and Gabby were fantastic characters, I loved the
instant connection they had, it was on fire! I liked learning about them and
what drove them. I liked Ryland and his sometimes grumpy self, and I adored how
much love he had for his niece who he had custody of, this man made me swoon.
Gabby was so hard-working and determined, they were both the ultimate
caregivers. They had great flirty, banter. I liked them getting to know one
another and their growing feelings, even though they were fighting them. The
sexual tension was high between these two which created a lot of entertaining scenes
that had me smiling. When it came to the heat, these two were scorching. There
was also a good amount of emotion and a bit of drama rounding things out creating
some heartfelt moments.
I really liked the characters involved, Ryland’s sisters are
awesome. I loved the text threads they all had together making me laugh. Gabby’s
friend Bower cracked me up and I thought her brother was sweet. The steeler of
the show though was Mac, Ryland’s cute niece. Every special moment between Ryland
and Mac had me melting. This is the third book in the Almond Bay series and it
can be read as a standalone, which is what I did. After meeting all these wonderful
characters, I want to go back and read the first two books in the series as
well.
This was a great story that gave me all the feels. It was
a super fun read full of heart and spice. A winner for sure!
