Since I felt super busy this month, I picked two books that were long so I didn’t have to worry about what I was going to listen to next. I went with two Kristen Ashley books, Rock Chick Regret and Kaleidoscope (which I’m still listening too). Both amazing stories. I’m a big fan of the Rock Chick series but I don’t think I sing the praises of the Colorado Mountain series enough. It’s phenomenal as well!

I’m pretty sure this is the quietest sharing month I have ever had on the blog. We had so much going on this month with family visiting and holiday prep happening for Thanksgiving. A part of me wants to say, “only 5 reviews?” but another part thinks, “go me, 5 new reviews!”

Red Velvet Cake

I made my first, completely from scratch, Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting. Y’all, it was THE BOMB!!! My normally clean eating self wanted to eat that entire bowl of frosting for lunch. So good. I got the recipe from Sally’s Baking Addiction. You can find it HERE.

Fun Fact: My son’s birthday is November 27th and mine is the 28th (*cough* yup! I’m another year older!) After he was born, I only made one cake and would have a piece of his with a candle on it for my birthday. Some years back, my husband (awesome man that he is!) started going to this fancy cupcake place to pick out a special one for me so I could have my own cake (sweet right?). This year, the Red Velvet Cake I made for the kid was so damn good it’s all I wanted. Next year though, we’re back to the cupcake place. ;-)
