Book Review: Chasing Cassandra (The Ravenels #6) by Lisa Kleypas

When an advanced copy for Chasing Cassandra landed on my Kindle, I dropped everything to read it. I love Lisa Kleypas and have thoroughly enjoyed The Ravenels series so I was super excited to dive into Tom and Cassandra's story. It was everything I could have wanted! Fantastic read!

This was such an amazing story! Chasing Cassandra was incredibly entertaining and an absolute delight to read. I loved Tom and Cassandra, learning about them, and watching them grow and embrace their feelings. There were so many brilliant standout moments that had me smiling and rooting for them. It was fantastic!

Since first meeting Tom Severin, I've been extremely curious about this unique man with the cold heart. I loved learning the ends and outs of him, what made him tick and what motivated him. He was so much more than he showed the world and so incredibly enamored by Cassandra upon meeting her. I loved his openness and pursuit of her and I also liked him fighting those feelings. Cassandra was a sweetheart who loved with her whole heart. I loved her openness and how determined she could be, holding out for what she truly wanted. I loved the challenge between them and when they started to open up and share. I was excited while reading and loved watching their flirtation and passion grow. There was a wonderful build to it all.

I loved all the characters involved and seeing West and Phoebe again. The Ravenels are such a tight-knit group and I loved their protectiveness for Cassandra. They all had such great dialogue that was outright fun to read. There's one character, in particular, I absolutely adored and thought he brought so much to the story. He played into Toms's feelings of his past and I love how this character evolved in Tom and Cassandra’s life. I felt it was exceptionally touching.

There was great attention to detail and I loved the flow of the story. I had a hard time finding a stopping place because I kept wanting more. There were just so many great moments. Entertaining. Emotional. Sweet. Heated. I loved them all! Lisa Kleypas knocked it out of the park! This story really resonated with me and I can’t begin to say enough good things!

Technically these historical romance books by Lisa Kleypas are standalone's so you can read them in any order you want. The stories do have interconnected characters so it was suggested to me to start at the very beginning with The Wallflowers series. This way you can see all the characters grow and have kids. I am so glad I decided to do this, I loved the build, the overall character development and the flow of the world as it expands. If you are an "in order" person like me, I suggest the following reading order:

The Wallflowers Series - The Hathaways Series - The Ravenels Series 

I've officially read all three of these series but am behind on sharing my reviews. They're all so fantastic though, I can't begin to say enough good things.
