I am loving the Jamison Valley series! The Outpost was an exceptional addition. I loved getting to know Beau and Sabrina and getting lost in the amazing world the author created.
The Outpost (Jamison Valley #4) by Devney Perry
Trapped in his tiny mountain cabin, she didn't expect to fall for his big heart.
Exposing a prominent criminal family with an investigative news report didn't exactly work out the way Sabrina had hoped. Instead of basking in the glory of her article's success, she's on the run from a powerful man who wants her dead. To stay safe, she's forced to trade one bad situation for another. Stuck in the Montana wilderness, she's secluded from anything resembling civilization or the modern-day world. The only good thing about her situation is the gorgeous mountain man assigned to protect her. Too bad he isn't the slightest bit interested in a city girl like her.
Beau likes his life quiet and simple. Give him a peaceful day hiking in the woods with his dog, and he's a happy man. He has no use for large crowds, noisy cities or dramatic women. So when a hotshot reporter rolls into town, dragging her big-time problems with her, he should have run for the hills. Instead, he volunteered to keep her safe. Bringing her into his world won't be easy, but if he can convince her that Montana isn't as terrifying as she believes, they might just be the perfect match.

These characters were just the best. I loved learning about
them, watching them hold back from their attraction and that ever-growing
sexual tension between them. I was filled with so much anticipation as Beau and
Sabrina got to know each other in the middle of a very stressful situation.
Sabrina was such a strong character. I loved her pursuit of going after what
she believed in and her dealing with all the emotions that came from her
choices. Beau was such a sweetheart. I mean seriously, talk about a swoon-worthy hero! He was strong and gruff with a heart of gold, a selfless and
caring man. This guy made me melt. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for
these two to get together. There was so much emotion happening but there
were a lot of fun moments too. I loved their dialogue and internal thoughts. There
was a nice mix of entertaining, flirty moments mixed in that I adored and had
me smiling.
I liked the character connections to other books by this author
and was excited to see some favorites from other stories. I liked the different
friendships and how it gave me such a feeling of family since they all have such a
great bond. The storyline was great, I loved the predicament that Sabrina was
in and what brought them together. There’s some mild drama and a great build to
them coming together. The imagery for the outpost and surrounding area was
beautiful. It made me feel fully immersed in the story.
This is such an amazing series. Every book I have read makes me fall more in love with Jamison Valley. Sabrina and Beau are perfect for one another. The Outpost was a fantastic read!
